Re: Golden Compass

Hi Don, the person who voices the lead bear (Iorek Byrnison I believe?) is Sir Ian McKellen, a very famous actor here in Britain. He played the wizard Gandalf opposite Christopher Lee's Saruman in the Lord of the Rings films, as well as Magneto in the recent X-Men films and Leigh Teabing in The Da Vinci Code.

(I'm sure all of this is meaningless blabbering since you probably know all this by now, but just thought I'd add some background for you - sorry I couldn't answer your initial question in time!) :)

And yes, since The Golden Compass is based on a trilogy of books, I think they're gonna make another two movies.

Smile Re: Golden Compass

The character that Christopher Lee plays in The Golden Compass appears a lot more in the next two books of the trilogy so lets hope that Christopher is in these films.

Re: Golden Compass

This is a good news, Stephen. I will glue my attention for new films of the expected trilogy.

thank you all for your help. & yes i do know who the gentlemen who did the voice is. he's one of my favorite actors buut for some weird reason since he did a voice in a film, something he doesn't normally do i couldn't remember what his name was? neither could my rents. hehe soo it's NOT just me. anywys he's got that deep voice like Mr. Lee don't you think? & i hope they are in some form working on the Next sequel cause mr. lee unfortunally isn't getting younger. too bad ain't it?
