Mr. Lee,
The dark fantasy/horror films you starred in during the earlier part of your career (the Hammer and Amicus films) have rightly been termed "adult fairy tales." They were morality plays highlighting the triumph of good over evil. Yet, within the past 20 years or so, this moral order seems to have been reversed in many films (and books) within the genre. Frequently, the vampire, the villain, the fiend is the hero of the piece; and often presented as a figure worthy of emulation. Indeed, as you know, there is an entire sub-culture devoted to just that principle. To me this raises rather disturbing artistic and moral questions. What is your view of the matter? How do you see the ethics/morality of the contemporary horror genre?
