Hi everyone, I'm a newbie. I really wish I'd known about this site sooner!
Anyways, My name's Catriona (Cat for short), I'm 22 and just graduated from university, currently trying to fill that void in my life with a job! I'm a published poet, grade 8 singer and keen actress.
I've been a fan of Christopher Lee's pretty much my whole life, but over the last year or so he has really helped me through stuff (and I hope he reads this so he can known how grateful I am!) I was diagnosed with a chronic illness: endometriosis. It often leaves me depressed, bedridden and in absolute agony. On those days, the one person I can turn to is Christopher Lee. If I'm stuck in bed, dependent on tramadol to let me perform basic tasks, I put on one of his Hammer films (or any of his films, for that matter), or Charlemagne, and no matter what, it lifts my spirits and really helps me through it! I don't know if it's because I love him as a person (and sincerely wish he would adopt me at times!), or his sheer brilliance as an actor, but there is something about him that is so fiercely dependable and even when you're supposed to hate him in some of his films, you just can't! So if you read this Sir Christopher, Thank you so much for helping me get through one of the toughest years of my life so far, and I hope that one day you'll truly know how much you help people simply by doing what you do best!
Really glad to be a part of things here, and looking forward to getting to know many of you!
