I was also a member of Christopher's Int Club from 1971 to 1974 ans I remember attending the fan club conventions in London and meeting among others Terence Fisher, Michael Ripper and of course Christopher himself.
Welcome to the club.

Hello everyone,
A very warm welcome to CLW, Tina! I hope you enjoy your time here and I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future. From your introduction, it certainly seems as though you have many interesting things to share with us, and I'm especially curious to hear about that "chance encounter" in Hyde Park with Mr Lee. Take care and all the best:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

I thank you all so much for your warm welcome, I remember with fondness the many memories of my childhood growing up in London, I lived in Hargrave Park until I moved with my family to Australia at 18, many a story to tell there too….Dubbo and the 3 Londoners . another time perhaps,
As young teenager my sister and I would spend many a day at the old Highgate cemetery, I remember the gates and walkway into the catacombs which I think was used as a backdrop in the Dracula movie “Taste the Blood of Dracula” one my favorite Dracula movie, can anyone confirm?, I even made a movie, great fun. Today I understand there is no public entry to the cemetery, appointments and tours only, due to vandals which is a shame.
To my story of my “chance” encounter with Christopher in March 1973, my sister Jacqui joined me in one of my many quests with the greatest adventures of being Christopher Lee’s number one fan. We where walking along Sloan Square, deciding to continue our walk along Kings Road, I had heard that Christopher lived somewhere in this area and of course what where the chances of ever bumping into a film star……well we went down this road, must have been the right time the right place for Christopher stepped out of a door and walked down the stairs in front of us, we where liked stunned mullets and mumbled some sort of greeting, Christopher relied and smiled back then walked away..wow, we sort of kicked ourselves afterwards on not asking for an autograph, but did not think…to stunned. I have always wondered if Christopher ever wondered what was going on, just simply a great and treasured moment.
Hi Stephen perhaps we where at the same Convention 18th February 73, a great day, any photo’s?.
Take care regards Tina will chat again soon

What a great story, Tina. Thanks for sharing it with us.
It's true that when you meet a famous celebrity, particularly one you admire greatly, your vocal chords just seem to stop functioning! I know it has happened to me on a few occasions!

I'll second that.... I have that same affliction whenever I meet someone I admire.
Don't know about yourselves, but If I imagine a possible meeting with someone, "off the telly" I've got all these things I would like to say and ask... but would probably dry up and end up looking like an illiterate dope.

Hi Tina,
I attended most of the fan club conventions so I probably did meet you. I did have some photos taken with the fans and guests that attended but I don't think I have any of these now.
