Hi, I have been a fan of CL since I was a small child watching Saturday afternoon horror films on TV in the early '80s.My favorite CL films are: The entire Hammer line,Man With The Golden Gun & The Three Musketeers series.I don't know about you,but, I've always found it strangely appropriate that the cinematic Masters of The Macabre(CL,Cushing,Price,Karloff,Carradine,Lorre,E t Al.)were all very dear friends of each other.Hope you continue making great films for many years to come,Mr.Lee. Hello everyone, A very warm welcome to CLW, Don! I hope you will enjoy your time here and I look forward to reading more of your posts in the future. I totally agree with your comment about how fitting it seems that these actors, while often pitted against one another onscreen in antagonistic roles, were, in life, very good friends. I have an interview with Peter Cushing where he discusses his role in the then forthcoming film House of the Long Shadows, and speaks with obvious affection about his various co-stars, John Carradine, Vincent Price, and Christopher Lee, especially noticeable when he describes Mr Lee as "the baby of the group". Another anecdotal detail that springs to mind is that Mr Lee and Boris Karloff used to live next door to each other for a time. Mr Lee writes in his autobiography that "[w]hen we came out of our houses simultaneously, people expected to see body-bags dumped on the pavement."
