I'm very excited to be a part of this group! I've loved Mr. Lee since seeing him in the old Hammer horror films when I was 8yrs old (I'm 42 now) - Dracula being my favorite. I have all the Dracula movies he's done. Love my DVD of extras that has Mr. Lee talking about his past film experiences and has a couple of music videos - his voice is AWESOME. I also have both his books - "Tall Dark & Gruesome" and just got "Lord of Misrule" - I loved "TD &G" and look forward to reading "Lord of Misrule" - he is so eloquent and engaging - a truly one of a kind, rare masterpiece of a gentlemen. I'm looking forward to being a part of this group! It's nice to meet all of you! |

Hello to you Deborah, and hello to Florida. I am a relatively new member also. I imagine you are basking in brilliant sunshine over there at the moment, maybe not, as apposed to the cold and wet conditions over here at the moment. But whatever the weather, so long as I can distract myself for a time on this site... sometimes an hour or two, sharing thoughts and memories of The life and films of Mr Lee with like minded people, I don't feel too bad. Hello, dear Deborah, WELCOME TO THIS FABOLUS SITE...I hope you will enjoy it! I am a new member, too and I can, no I MUST TELL you, the people here are fantastic...by the way, the man we adore, why we are all here, is fantastic, too...LOL!! We have got nearly the same "history" about Mr. Lee: I was 10 years old when I became a fan, and I am 41 years old now. Isn`t that funny...for such a long time and we all enjoyed the HAMMER FILMS, although we were children!!! We should talk to our parents about that, LOL!! I am very jealous, although I have never been to Florida, people say it would be lovely there...so much sunshine! Is that true? Because it is... our parents were sensitive and many special letting to see us films of the Hammer. We met like this a wonderful couple (Mr. Lee and Peter Cushing) We thanked them!
