Hello fellow members. I have been a an admirer of Christopher Lee and many of his contemporaries for a long time now. I was born in 1963, and was subsequently brought up on the Hammer films shown in the seventies and 80's, usually as part of a double bill of horror at the weekends on BBC 2. One of the first films I ever remember going to see at the cinema, without my parents as guardian, was The Man With The Golden Gun. Loved it and didn't want it to end. I enjoy it now on DVD. I was also weaned on the old Universal horror movies, which I still enjoy a lot today. I have recently finished reading Mr Lees autubiography, which is no mean feat for me, as I am not a great reader. I found it very engrossing and particularly enjoyed his reminiscenses of films he had made and the actors and actresses he had shared them with. I recently unearthed a clip of another of my favourite actors . . . Peter Cushing. I remembered watching him being interviewed on wogan many years ago and thought then what a lovely man. It was good to see a few minutes of that again, reaffirming those original thoughts. Well ... enough of my wittering. I hope to post again soon. I have always been an admirer of Mr Lee, but over the last few years have considered him one of our finest actors.
