I tried to use Paltalk;got lost. Rebecca said I need the password. How do I go about getting it?
I've e-mailed you the password.
I just e-mailed it to you, too, Michelle, since Juan said it was alright, and you said he hadn't answered. I thought you meant you had e-mailed him. Looks like you'll have more passwords than you can use, now!
Hope to see you during Sunday chat -- or anytime CLW members are about.
I think all the emails I sent got dumped in the crash.
I am really having a hard time with the paltalk. Somebody talk me through the steps, please. I don't even know where to go from the home page. I looked under partners and then commerce lists. Do I neew to download something first?
From the main Pal Talk menu, select "Groups". A new menu then appears. On that list you must click on "Premium Professional" and another menu opens. There you will find "The Official Christopher Lee Web" listed. Click on the title and a password form should appear. Enter your password and the room will open.

The page I see : www.paltalk.com/paltalk/index.html
the menu has: HOME
WHAT IS PALTALK
The closetes thing to group list was in member programs. It had a list of groups, none of which is ours. busines partners listed the assoc. business'.
Am I on the right paltalk?
I didn't realize that you hadn't actually downloaded the free Pal Talk program yet. Before you can use the password or do anything actually, you need to download the free chat program itself.
Hit the big orange Download Now button in the middle of the screen then follow the instructions from there. Once you've downloaded it and installed the program, then go back and read the directions I posted earlier to get into the room.
That would explain why you didn't appear yesterday, Michelle! I kept the room open on my system for about 1/2 an hour, as I'd said I would in e-mail in case you got the letter in time. Then I asked Gena, who was somewhere else on PalTalk, to come in and stay a while in case you showed up, because I had to go to sleep.
We do mean well, here. I'm so glad Charles caught the meta problem that didn't occur to me!
The reflectors are ready and in place.
The best software client to use, can be downloaded for free at:
There are other compatible clients, but none are free.
The Room is located under Entretainment/Movies/CLW. The password is the same as in the Paltalk room.
In 3 weeks, there will be another live event. That gives us enough time for testing.
The connection to the room was not a good idea because it goes at the speed of the lowest client, 56K was the case.
The best way to do it is to connect directly onto the server by calling the IP address.
Next Sunday at 7pm GMT we'll do just that. I'll give you that address on the day at Paltalk.
Does this mean we don't have to download the software anymore ?
I installed it and it looked fine.
Than again, i was alone in the room and
there was no one on dial up to slow me down
You still need to download the client, but instead of entering a room you connect to eachother trough a central reflector.
Remember NASA? Simmilar.
