Morten, Rasputin and Theatre of Death are excellent. The Gorgon is great also; I watch all of these fairly regularly. Haven't seen 'The Man who could cheat death yet and I have never even heard of Snake pit and the pendulum.....Maybe someone else can help with those............

I highly recommend Rasputin; Mr. Lee is absolutely Brilliant.

Hope this helps a bit...
Cheers,
Helen

Re: Anyone seen

I can only agree with Helen. Rasputin is fantastic and in Theater of the Death Mr. Lee represents a character a little different, but that is sensational.

Hello Morton.
If I were to choose on the basis of performance, I would have to go for his portrail of Rasputin, as one to see. As a whole film, I would highly recommend Gorgon.
I have not heard of "Snake Pit and the Pendulum".
"The Pit and the Pendulum", starring Vincent Price, is a very good film.

The Man who Could Cheat Death is a very good film. Great cast. Very good actors. It's availble on Region 1 dvd.

Re: Anyone seen

There was a film Mr Lee appeared in back in 1967,called: The Torture Chamber Of Dr Sadism. It was very similar to the Vincent Price Movie: The Pit And The Pendulum.Could this be the film you are refering to,when you say: The Snake Pit And The Pendulum?
The film: The Torture Chamber Of Dr Sadism, starred Lex Barker,Karin Dor,Dieter Eppler,Vladimir Medar, and of course Mr Lee.It was directed by Herald Reinl.
I loved this film, even though it was a very grainy and rough film to watch. The hero,Lex Barker was riding through a wood, and came across loads of hanging corpses, and eventually ended up finding an underground entrance to the crypt and torture chamber of Dr Sadism,in the ruins and remains of the old castle, containing Dr Sadism ( Mr Lee ).At the beginning of the film,Mr Lee,as Dr Sadism, had all four of his limbs, tied to four horses. The horses were whipped, and Dr Sadism was torn apart ( we never get to see this ).
Do any of these film segments i have mentioned ring a bell with you Morten?
Lex Barker was very famous for playing Tarzan.
In the film: The Torture Chamber Of Dr Sadism,Lex Barker IS tied down to a stone floor,in a dark room with the walls covered in dark drawing of hooded cloaked figures etc,and a big metal silver Pendulum swings above him and slowly lowers over time.Exactly like in the Vincent Price Film: The Pit And The Pendulum.
If you remember a beautiful blonde lady, with a bavarian style pig tail hairstyle wandering the corridors and coming across swathes of dead semi naked women, who Dr Sadism has already killed off and drained them of their blood, then it may be the movie you are refering to.

The Snake Pit and the Pendulum was AKA The Torture Chamber of Dr Sadism and also The Blood Demon.

It's on Youtube YouTube - The Torture Chamber Of Dr Sadism (1967) - Part 1/9
