Howling II

I finally had opportunity to attend this film. I loved to see Mr. Lee in that quite interesting character.
Does anybody want to do a comment on the film?

Thumbs down Re: Howling II

Hi Isabel. I haven't seen this film for a very long time, but my memory of the film as a whole, is not a very good one. It was a very disappointing sequel to "The Howling".
I think I must have seen it on vhs, when it was first released, but not really eager to watch it again.
Regards, Steve.

Hi Isabel

Glad you have finally managed to see The Howling II. As you say, Mr Lee is good in his role but that is the only good thing about the movie really. As Steve said, it is a very disappointing sequel to an excellent original. The Howling II could have been a great film but it seems like the makers of the film just got a bit carried away and tried to cram too many things into it. In the end, it comes across as being very silly.

A poor film made watchable by Christopher Lee.

Hi Stuart,
I am on holiday this week and next, and usually end up watching various films, till the wee small hours.... I might just have a second look at this one.
As you say, Mr Lee is always watch-able.

Re: Howling II

Too be honest i think it's a great film....if you love B-movies. And i really like those.

Feet on the table...big bag of popcorn, a nice bevarage and a Mr Lee who looks like this:

this would be an excellent movie evening in my book!

Re: Howling II

Stuart, I have to agree with you when says that the end of the film was foolish.
As always Mr. Lee saves, giving value many films. I was very curious on this film.

As Mr Lee said in a documentary series 100 years of Horror about this film:
"The less said about that the better".

Re: Howling II

Hey steve,
I agree with you about the movie. As much as I LOVE watching Mr. Lee in films, NOTHING could influence me to watch that movie again. The first couple times I kept reminding myself that I was watching it to see Mr. Lee. But the writing and the plot holes and the horrible acting (other than Mr. Lee) still makes me cringe just thinking about it. I'm sure it's not one of the best times he's had doing a movie. BUT I LOVE YOU ANYWAY, MR. LEE!

Unhappy Re: Howling II

Hi Isabel,
After noticing on the TV section of this site that "Howling II" was being aired on zone Horror, I decided to give it a second viewing... after an interval of many years. I'm afraid I had to give up after about fifteen minutes. This is one of those films, that you can sense will instantly be a disappointment, by the theme music.
I had forgotten how bad this film was. Mr Lee, of course, does his utmost to hold things together, but I couldn't get over the feeling, that with every line he was delivering, he would have rather been somewhere else.
It pains me to say so, but this is one film, in which Mr Lee appears, that I will not be adding to my collection.
Regard to everyone.
