What is Mr. Lee's Worst Movie?

Mr. Lee has made many great films, but what do you think is his worst? Something so bad, its nigh impossible to watch?

My pick would be "1941". For a movie that is supposed to be a comedy, it just isn't very funny. At all. Which is a surprise considering the talent involved. But the script is simply awful. And it sure is one of the noisiest films I've ever seen. The night I saw it in its original release, it gave me a splitting headache. I've never watched it again.

Mmm, not an easy choice. Christopher Lee would be the first to admit he's made more than a few "questionable" movies but for me it has to be "The Howling 2"
A truly awful movie and quite possibly the worst sequel to a great film ever.
A complete waste of the mans talent.

This really pains me to admit -- "The Rosebud Beach Hotel"

Thumbs down Re: What is Mr. Lee's Worst Movie?

Though I hesitate to dwell on movies that, I'm sure Mr Lee would rather be erased from history, I happened to tape and watch "Funny Man" on "Zone Horror" the other day, for the first time..... I didn't keep it on tape for long.
But for the very brief moments that Mr Lee appeared on screen, this really was, in my opinion, a truly awful waste of time. The story line and the way it was executed, was puerile, and amateurish. The so called humour was lame... at best.
FUNNY MAN gets my vote.

The most odd movie to watch for me, (although I have only seen small bits and pieces of it....)

The Return Of Captain Invincible.

( don't hit me! please!)

Re: What is Mr. Lee's Worst Movie?

I haven't seen the films mentioned above, in fact I haven't seen many of Mr. Lee's movies yet. But from those I have watched "Die Schlangengrube und das Pendel" is a film I didn't like. It is boring and the music is awful.

Re: What is Mr. Lee's Worst Movie?

Return From Witch Mountain isn't the worst, per se, but certainly has plenty of inadvertent humor for anyone over the age of 6. I actually paid to see this in '78, such was my devotion -- a sole teen (with my MOM! :P) in a theater of little kids. It's probably remembered with affection for being a Disney flick featuring Bette Davis (who smirks through the piece like a private joke). Mr. Lee is better than Bette, and plays it straight as a mad scientist bent on world conquest. They found a young actor to play his thug nephew who actually looks quite like him! Jack Soo (from Barney Miller and Flower Drum Song) plays the comical truant officer. I cringe for all the actors when I see this hokey story, but they get credit for trying to make it "believable"!

I agree with you matt. though I haven't seen many of his films, I cringe when I see the howling 2 is on. I love this man but not EVEN for him would I put myself through that again.

haha! You know what? I've not seen a large number of Mr. Lee's films even to this day. So, I honestly cannot say that I've seen even one that I thought wasn't worth seeing.

Mr Lee's worst film?. I haven't seen Howling 2. Only a few scenes that wasn't worth talking about. My pick has to be "Jocks" and "Funny Man".

And then there's the Lord of the Rings movies. No laserguns. Pointless.

Re: What is Mr. Lee's Worst Movie?

I would have to say Police Academy 7. I only watched it because it was on TV and Mr Lee was in it. Thats 83 minutes of my life I want back. Actually, 80 minutes, I didn't mind the parts Mr Lee was in, he was funnier than the entire Police Academy cast. Goes to show how versatile an actor Mr Lee really is!

"Satanic Rites of Dracula" from '73 was weak... I'm not big on late 20th century Dracula.... 19th century Dracula stories RULE!

I liked Chris Lee in the '81 film "An Eye For an Eye" with Chuck Norris.... A very underrated flick from Cannon films..... Peace...
