Smile Jinnah

Hi Everyone, I found this brief article that describes the 'public screening' of Jinnah at the National Art Gallery Cinema in Pakistan. The article says that it has taken almost 10 years for the film to be 'screened publicly' at the Cinema.

It is a nice article that also talks about the difficulties with the film and Mr. Lee's participation.

If you have the time and are interested here is the link:

Screening of ?Jinnah? in tune with ongoing democratic transition

It is wonderful to see such a fine film as 'Jinnah' getting more 'worldwide' exposure.....

Cheers,
Helen

Thumbs up Re: Jinnah

Hi Helen.
I purchased and watched this movie some weeks ago. I thought the cast and acting was outstanding. It is obvious why Mr Lee counts this film as one he is very proud of.
It was interesting to find out so much more about Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the turbulent past of india and it's eventual, controversial partition.
I found Mr Lee's performance and the tone of the film very moving.
It is wonderful to hear that this film is now having it's first public viewing in Pakistan. It would be nice to see it go on general release in that country, and why not, then, worldwide.
Thankyou Helen for that link.
All the best.

Re: Jinnah

Yes the film should conquer the world. I would love to see it thrown in Brazil with subtitles.
