Hello everyone,
Brilliant news! I am delighted to learn that Mr Lee's album, Revelation, has "gone platinum". Obviously it goes without saying, but what an outstanding achievement for any singer, and yet even more so for Mr Lee, who is eighty-five years old and whose primary profession is not singing. Many congratulations to Mr Lee and to everyone else involved in the making of the album for this excellent accomplishment! I really hope that there will be another album to come, and, if so, it will be very interesting indeed to see (and hear) which songs Mr Lee will perform next. Well done everyone! Take care:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

Without a doubt Mr. Lee (same amateur as singer) he is devoted a lot to everything that does. An incredible person that it deserves all our applauses. With this we can see that besides his talent, also for the music, he is very loved out by the world the.
We loved him Mr. Lee.
I don't know the amount of CDs that it came to Brazil, but one of them is to my house and it is here, to my side, in my computer table where it is always listened. I feel very proud for also having one of the CD and for the Disk of Platinum that Mr. Lee received.

Here is a really nice review.
I also had feedback from the organisers and the keyboard player and aparently, people gave him after each song he sung, at least a 20 minute standing ovation. Mr. Lee was at hisvery best. He had been resting at his niece's house in Seville for the last 20 days, which does help a lot at his age.
I am really, really happy for him and I still cannot get over the platinum disc. I remember that many of his fans, not here but at the horror forums, were saying that it would not be succesful and made fun of him. I guess people will have opinions but there is no greater pleasure to see them being proved wrong. Mr. Lee always gets the last laugh.

..and he gets to share a headline with "El Cigala", who is a kind of flamenco God. in fact, one was in Estepona and the other in Torremolinos. This is just too cool.

Juan, Thank You so much for sharing this information with us.
It is wonderful that Mr. Lee is getting the recognition he deserves for a talent he has always expressed a great fondness for; but had of yet been fully appreciated by the public.
Mr. Lee has been able to realize so many of his dreams within his lifetime (with more yet to come....)and that is something that is very special indeed.
Congratulations Mr. Lee and Thank You for all that you have given us and continue to give us.
I am looking forward to the many projects that Mr. Lee has already accomplished and waiting to see what new adventures are in store for Mr. Lee and us...
Best Wishes and Warmest Regards,
Helen

Many thanks indeed, Juan, for the links to the articles! As Helen quite rightly says, it is great to see that Mr Lee is making the headlines for his singing. I am sure Mr Lee must be overjoyed at having achieved such success with his album Revelation, and to have gained the recognition he so truly deserves as a singer. Long may it continue! Take care everyone:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

Hi Folks,
I was fortunate enough to attend Christopher Lee's presentation last night. He was on great form, but it was clear he is still getting over his recent illness. A great moment was the screening of the tributes by Martin Scorcese and Ernest Borgnine.
I must admit to being pleasantly surprised by the strength and quality of Mr Lee's singing voice, as when I heard he had released an album my original reaction was that it was a little self indulgent, but on the evidence of his performance last night he has every right to be proud of his talents as a singer.
I have written a report and posted some photo's here: The Resident |

Many thanks for posting the link to your report. It sounds as though you really enjoyed the evening at Estepona. The photographs are excellent! Thanks again. Take care:
Kindest regards,
Andrés

I suppose that when you are involved in something that brings you immense pleasure and joy, in Mr Lee's case singing, it rejuvenates you. At the risk of repeating myself, I'm so glad that Mr Lee is able to pursue something he loves, especially at this stage of his life. Anyway, take care everyone:
Warmest regards,
Andrés
