Hi, Kaitlin, Thanks for the welcome. Yes I`ve been a fan of Christopher Lee`s for most of my life, nine or ten years old me thinks. Could be younger. I remember staring up at the huge posters at the cinema of the new Dracula movie with Christopher Lee larger than life looming over the public. Getting so excited when the early films were on the TV and then getting so depressed beacause I couldn`t persuade my parents to let me stay up late and watch them. Ah those where the days!!!

Hi Isabel, You were lucky to see the films when you did at the cinema. I did manage to get to go and see all the other Hammer studio movies: She, One Million Years BC, etc. just not the Horror movies. Britain had a very strict censorship policy in those days and unfortunately I looked very young even in my teens and couldn`t even try and pretend to be older!!! I used to stand outside the cinema and wave to all my friends as they were let in. Oh well.

A very warm welcome to CLW, Mark! I really hope you enjoy your time here. It's always great to see new people posting, and I very much look forward to reading more of your posts. One of the great things about being a fan of Mr Lee is that he is still working to this day, and quite a few of the more recent films he has worked in have been shown in the cinema. It was really something to see Mr Lee as Saruman, Count Dooku, and Wilbur Wonka up on the big screen. I really look forward to seeing the news ones that come along! Welcome again, Mark! Take care everyone:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

I attended the films for television with my mother that was always fan of Mr. Lee, Mr. Cushing and Mr. Price. Since my 9 years we were only her and me home, then she allowed me to see the films that passed late at night in television. As for the movies... well this was always a problem and me always story on the despair scene that I did in front of the movies, for the janitor that didn't want to let me to enter to see The Whip and the Boddy, because I had 16 and the censorship was for 18 years... I insisted on this several times in this... finally, the boy ended up letting me to enter in the movies.

Hello, Mark, and welcome! I am relatively new, also. I've been a member for a while but only recently made my first post.
Here's a story for you in honor of your welcome:
Other authors are interviewed by people like Barbara Walters, Oprah Winfrey, Larry King, and Charlie Rose. I get interviewed, however, by a guy wearing pancake make-up and fangs who calls himself

Hi Matt,
I can`t remember ever meeting you before but that doesn`t mean anything. Old age and all that! I used to live in Preston Lancs before I moved out to Australia in `94 if that`s any help.
Regards
Mark
