No You're not according to IMDB it is in post-production with no release date as yet. The film looks like it might be interesting. Big plus of course will be seeing Mr Lee on screen again Kaitlin

Sadly, I have no news to offer about COWBOYS FOR CHRIST, but this is my first, overdue post, and I would like to introduce myself. I'm the author of CHRISTOPHER LEE AND PETER CUSHING AND HORROR CINEMA (perhaps the most awkwardly worded title of all time) and am the co-author with Tom Johnson of THE CHRISTOPHER LEE FILMOGRAPHY, both books published by McFarland in the U.S.
For a long time I have been enjoying this informative, lively website that is a wonderful tribute to Christopher Lee. I appreciate the news, insights of members, and, of course, Mr. Lee's direct participation.
Here's a link to a funny, affectionate tribute to Messrs. Lee and Cushing that you may enjoy. Again, it's good to be here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2Ma7bZ2dH0

Well, this is very exciting indeed. I have the first of those two titles, Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing and Horror Cinema, and, in fact, I was fortunate enough to have my copy signed in person by Mr Lee earlier this year. It is a most informative and insightful book into the cinematic collaborations of two of Britain's finest actors, with excellent images and photographs, and contributions from many of the people who worked with the two gentlemen. Highly recommended! When I showed the book to Mr Lee, he remembered you distinctly, and started reading through the first few pages because, in his words, "I want to read what he wrote about me." I have yet to purchase the other book , The Christopher Lee Filmography, but it's definitely one I want to get. Below is a photograph taken at the signing where I am carrying your book. If you are interested, I wrote an account of the day (with more photos) which can be found here: http://christopherleeweb.com/forums/...x.html?t=61995 Left to right: Mr Lee and me (and to the right in the foreground you can just see half of another CLW member, Monsieur Georges Nahon - Photo by Juan Aneiros, 2007) Anyway, just to end by saying it's wonderful to see you here posting on CLW, Mark, and I hope that you will find the time to write something about your own experiences of meeting Mr Lee and speaking with him about his work. I am positive that everyone here would be very interested to hear those. Take care, and God bless:
Kindest regards,
Andrés
P.S. That's a very funny clip, which I have seen before! I'm always astonished by Stephen Fry's impersonation of Vincent Price in particular!

Thanks for your warm welcome to CLW, Andres! I read your article about meeting Christopher Lee and loved it. You do an excellent job making the reader feel present at the event, which I really appreciate. Great photographs, too. From all of my experiences with Christopher Lee in writing the books, I can tell you that his warmth and generosity that you and others experienced at the autograph signing are typical of the great man. (By the way, that was awfully nice of Juan to give you and your mom a ride home!)
Thanks for your comments on my book about Messrs. Lee and Cushing. It was a labor of love. I have, in fact, begun a revised and expanded edition of it on which I am hard at work. The endeavor will take several years.
Thanks again for the welcome!
Sincerely,
Mark

I don't know the validity of this information; but I found an article that comments that 'Cowboys for Christ' is to start filming this September. I will try to find more information and the accuracy of which.....
In the mean time here is a link to the article if you are interested: http://www.moviehole.net/news/200708...ensing_in.html
Cheers,

Thank you Helen. Maybe I am late, but to the knowledge that Mr. Lee will be in the film with Faye Dunaway... that is Great!
Everything indicates that it will be an excellent film. Let us await anxious.
