Re: Any News on Cowboys for Christ
Hi Everyone, Well it seems that the news about 'Cowboys for Christ' is 'burning' up the internet faster than the 'Wickerman' burned in the original film......(Sorry)
There are so many different sources picking up and reporting on the 'start' of the film....
Here is another link or two:

This site has been around for a bit; but for those that haven't seen it:

Fantastic News, and how great will it be to see Mr Lee working with Faye Dunaway again they did so well together in the Musketeer films. I loved the Wicker Man, So I will be wonderful to see this one . Kaitlin

Re: Any News on Cowboys for Christ
As far as I know, Cowboys for Christ does not beging filming in November this year. The recent update is that filming has been postponed yet again and there are no dates for the future.

Well, though I am not happy to hear this news....It does give Mr. Lee a bit of a break (if he wants one)....
We can but hope this 're-visioning' will one day (soon) come to be....:ridinghor

Re: Any News on Cowboys for Christ
Mr. Lee doesn't hang around waiting, instead he has started work on another movie titled "Boogie "Woogie", he has recorded the voice for 1 animated movie, he is recording the voice for a second animated movie, he started work on Carlomange, he will be doing one concert in Spain next month, another one in Birmingham and the list goes on. Placido Domingo, has been waiting for over 1 year to record a duet with him, postponed due to Mr. Lee being always busy and not able to comit to dates.
For nothing, he is currently the international "star" with the most screen credits and it has been confirmed at last by the Guiness Book of Records. Note the words "International Star" and not some chinesse actor or US only actor.
Tomorrow, he will be rehearsing for his concerts and entertaining the musicians with his stories and anecdotes.
He also turns down a lot of movies and proposal to record with other groups and singers, some because he doesn't find enteresting and others because lack of time. Mr. Lee's idea of relaxing, is being out the house in some movie set, recording songs or playing golf. He has more enthusiasm now than when he started his career, he said that is because before he had to work to make a living, now he can pick and chose to do what he enjoys.

Re: Any News on Cowboys for Christ
Fascinating update, thank you Juan. I'm very delighted to hear that Mr. Lee still enjoys to do all these projects. I'm sure that Juan will make an official announcement about "Boogie Woogie" pretty soon and give more information.
I was very curious about this project and couldn't resist to do some research. Here's what I found out:
"Boogie Woogie" is based on the novel by Danny Moynihan and stars Gillian Anderson, Stellan Skarsgard and Danny Huston (whom Mr. Lee mentioned in his Oxford appearance!). Rachel Weisz, Gerard Depardieu and Damian Lewis were at one point attached to this project, I don't know if that's still the case.
The story takes place in the art scene, the book is described as a "satirical drama". You can find a description of the story of the novel on the Amazon.com website:

Re: Any News on Cowboys for Christ
Certainly Sr.Lee doesn't stop giving us surprises and to get happy with so many and so many projects. And us, his fans, we cannot leave of . It is very pleasant know that he accomplishes his work with so much dedication, happiness and pleasure in what does.
To sing with Plácido Domingo. (Bravo!) Maybe I accomplish my dream of hearing to sing him " Perhaps Love." But, of any way, any music being interpreted by Mr. Lee is "great" or it becomes like this.
I am just because I still cannot see and to hear my idol, personally singing, granting interviews...
Congratulations Mr Lee! Parabéns!

Re: Any News on Cowboys for Christ
Wow Fantastic, Mr Lee and Stellan Skarsgard, the man is one of my favorites, can't wait to see this one. Would love to hear the duet with Placido Domingo as well I absolutely love his voice.
