Hello everyone,
That's a wonderfully sweet picture, Isabel! May I wish everyone here at CLW a happy and peaceful Easter. I have a chocolate egg with my name on it (not literally) waiting for me come Monday. And it is so lovely that we're having sunny weather here in Britain.
Something rather unusual happened to my mother and me today. This late afternoon/early evening, while we were in the sitting room, a sweet little budgerigar with green and yellow feathers perched upon our television aerial outside on our balcony and starting chirping away cheerfully. I wanted to take a photograph of it, but, by the time I had brought the camera over, the little fellow had flown away.
Well, anyway, take care everyone and may God bless you all during the Easter holiday:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

Wishing everybody a Happy Easter.
Isabel, that`s a nice picture and thank you for the sweet and funny e-card.
Andrés, that´s indeed unusual with the budgerigar on your balcony. Who knows where he has come from. I think the bird wanted to wish you Happy Easter. :)
I love birds, I have two cockatiels.
Cheers
Conny

Conny | Cony, I thought the same on the bird that visited Andrés and your mother. But I don't know that bird type is, this doesn't translate.
Will Conny, be that yours birds received something special of Easter?
Speaking in birds, do you remember my tree singer (full of sparrows, etc)? Now she is mute. The birds left. I wait for them next summer. My sidewalk is clean, but anything of happiness of birds. My mother is who more she laments their lack always singing after the sun to put.

Whatever the case, it was a very shy little bird, because it flew away before I could take its photograph. Isabel, in Spanish this bird is called "periquito", in fact it is a type of Australian parakeet. Here is a link to an online photo which looks more or less like the one that perched on our balcony (only I think ours was cuter, hehe!) http://img.redu.us/s/s77in_050317_cb...budgerigar.jpg. Hope this helps you to know the one I mean. Take care everyone:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

Thanks for the greeting. Happy Easter to all of you also. We had a happy day here, I play for my church so it was a busy morning but we had a fun afternoon with our neighbors and our two furry children Copper (cat) and Shiloh (beagle) and easter presents . Kaity

Warmest regards,
Andrés | Hi, Andrés.
Here in Brazil we also called this "periquito" bird or "cocota". A lot of people have it at home. They are soft and beautiful.
Kaity, one day you could post pictures of the your cats.

Isabel, I gave my birds a piece of a boiled easter egg, but they didn`t like to eat it. What they like very much is a piece of roll which I very often give them.
Yes I remember the tree with the birds. Can imagine the lack of the singing birds. Certainly they will come again next summer. I like it very much to listen to the birds chirping outside and of course the whistling of my two ones.
Andrés, the link to the picture is not working, can you post it again please.
Kaitlin, what do you play for the church, an instrument?
Cheers
Conny

Hello again,
Yes, you're both quite correct! It would seem that the budgerigar has changed into a road - how mysterious! Well, if you're still interested, I found the same picture on another link: http://www.kidsbiology.com/library/i...300&height=400. I don't like it at all when that happens, especially if it's a really good picture (and even more if I didn't have the foresight to save it to my harddrive before it vanished). Anyway, take care everyone:
Warmest regards,
Andrés
P.S.: And I still haven't eaten my Easter egg!

Rep Power: 25 | Re: To All of CLW There it is our cocota or parakeet. I know that Conny will love this.
I have little pressed the teeth in the last piece of an Easter egg (prestige) I don't know how it can call in English, but it is inside that chocolate with coconut... hummmm....
For obvious reasons I should be far away from so much sweet... with certainty Mr. Lee knows how to control due to these sweetness, although he has a happy face and it seems of who eats chocolate!!

Hi Connie, I play the piano and the guitar at my church and also help with the song leading, It keeps me busy since I am responsible for choosing the music we use. . I love it We just moved here to Atlanta and before my husband and I came to the Church they had been without anyone to play or help with the singing this has been a blessing for both sides. Kaity

I also make a work in the church. I am "guiding" of Infantile Cult. I already sang in a song group, " Reason of Praise", for 5 years, but my voice doesn't help for the song.
I tried to learn guitar, but it didn't give right... I get right myself more in the infantile Cult and in the dramatizations in special dates.
Congratulations for you to know to play musical instruments and to sing.

A lovely parakeet, thanks Andrés for posting the picture again.
When I was a child we had a blue parakeet. But I have lost my heart to cockatiels.
Here is a picture of my two ones.
Kaitlin, you are indeed very musical as you play two instruments and sing. I am very unmusical on that score, therefore I find it great when somebody plays an instrument or sings.
Isabel, I am sure you are very good in guiding your infantile cult.
Cheers
Conny

Here is a picture of my two ones. | You're welcome, Conny! And thank YOU for your picture of the cockatiels. They are really beautiful. I can see why you have lost your heart to them. They look lovely. I knew an American lady who kept a beautiful (although somewhat temperamental) cockatoo, but she had to give him away in the end because she couldn't continue to look after him. Fortunately, she was able to arrange for him to be taken to a bird sanctuary. Anyway, thanks again Conny:
Warmest regards,
Andrés
