A funny thing..

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum...

You just can't get away from Mr. Lee.
On the Eurostar to Paris on our recent trip I was doing a movie crossword in Empire and the hidden answer was Scaramanga..

..and while going up the Rue Royale to the Forum by open top bus, Janice shouted "There's Christopher Lee" and to my amusement I noticed this..

I supposed you had to be there.

On the way back in another movie book Premiere, they were advertising the 25th anniversary edition of The Last Unicorn. Spooky.

Many thanks for your kind words on our 25th Wedding Anniversary.

Cheers
Colin

Thank you. Great picture. Maybe Mr Lee has been to that resturant.

Talking Re: A funny thing..

Hello everyone,

Thanks a lot for that Colin! That really IS spooky. I suppose it just goes to demonstrate Mr Lee's worldwide appeal. I think it's rather endearing that Mr Lee was there accompanying you both on your trip to Paris (in one form or another), and I sincerely hope you had a wonderful time. Sounds like all that was missing was your own personal Nick Nack as a manservant! ("Oui, Monsieur Bushby! Right away!") Well, back to my audiobook of John Betjeman poetry I suppose... Take care and God bless:

Warmest regards,

Andrés

Re: A funny thing..

I think that Mr. Lee is in a certain way in the life of his fans. A lot of coincidences happen... there is something (this is not a funny thing), but it is interesting if we think as the things they are sometimes adjusted: here we don't have called people XANDRA, at least never I heard to haul one. We used the nickname of Xande for (Alexandre - masculine), maybe Xanda for (Alexandra - feminine). AND, it was alone I to discover that Mr. Lee's sister's name is Xandra, ready... in one day I passed before an abandoned building through where the whole day I pass and there they were some men reforming that to be a factory of shoes... the other day it was there written, very big " Shoes Xandra". That called me a lot the attention. Unhappily the small factory closed soon, but the name that was not common of being seen for me is still there written.
