Just an introduction from a new member

Hi, my name is David and although I have been visiting this site for a few years I have only now just joined up. I'am married with 2 children, love movies , collect old British cinema posters , I'am learning to fly light aircraft and last but not least I'am a big fan of Christopher Lee.
I love to look at all of the photos that have been posted of all of the events and meetings you have all had with Mr Lee and reading about the meetings. As I live in N.Ireland I just don't get a chance to go to any of these events but a few years ago I did fly over to London for a book signing and finally met Christopher Lee in person, WOW!
A very nice man indeed and very happy to pose for a couple of snaps which I have posted in the multimedia photos bit (at least I think they are in there). Anyway thats my intro, so if you see my name pop up now and again you know who I am.
David.

Hello David,

A very warm welcome to CLW! I very much hope that you will find your time here enjoyable. It is always great to see new members joining and participating in the forums. Please be sure to take a good look around, as there are many different subjects in the threads, and I'm sure you'll find a lot of interesting things there. The archives hold a wealth of information about Mr Lee and his career too. I will also recommend the "Trivia" thread which we've started up again as a fun way of finding out facts and information about Mr Lee (the link to that is http://christopherleeweb.com/forums/...ad.php?t=61983, and it runs to 23 pages so far; Cindy's latest question has me stumped again).

Rest assured that your photographs ARE in the multimedia gallery section, and very good they are too! A few of us have already posted up some comments about them, and I am sure more members will follow suit as soon as they notice them up there.

Well, all I can say is that I hope you will be able to make it to one of Mr Lee's next appearances, and hopefully if other CLW members come along too, that will be a good opportunity to meet up (I guess it all depends on when and where it takes place!) If you haven't done so already, you may be interested to read an article I wrote about meeting Mr Lee last Saturday in Heathrow. Here is the link to that: http://christopherleeweb.com/forums/...ad.php?t=61995. Once again, welcome to CLW and I hope to read more of your posts in the future. Take care and god bless:

Warmest regards,

Andrés

Hello David,
I guess my introduction to you was viewing your pictures in the members section(before I knew you were a member)! They are great pics! And it is wonderful that you were able to attend an event....
My timing seems to be consistently off.....We will be in London probably in April or May this year....Oh, well....It is still wonderful to hear everyone's account of this event...
Hmmmm.....Which reminds me, we still haven't heard from Colin!

Anyway, Welcome to the site and I hope you will enjoy and participate!

Cheers,;)
Helen

Ei, this is a good idea: to learn to fly....
I read a post of Renate where she uses the expression " The world is small"... this for some things are true, but in my case, wanting to be in some event with Mr. Lee, I affirm: " The world is big" and the most interesting things are far. Then " to learn to fly" is a good one begin hi, hi,hi,hi.....

Re: Just an introduction from a new member

Hi , Helen thank you for the welcome, timing, that was always my problem with trying to meet Mr Lee, never in the right country at the right time.

Jennifer and Isobel, nice to here from you. Learning to fly is not so bad, its not as nerve racking as meeting Christopher Lee.

All the best
David.
