Rep Power: 0 | Stuck for a Christmas Present?
If you have been wondering what you want for Christmas. Bored with socks, colourful jumpers off your Mother that you only wear on Christmas Day, and endless deodrants?
Well wonder no more, just ask for this:- http://cgi.ebay.com/007-Golden-Gun-R...QQcmdZViewItem
A real bargain .
Matt and I were lucky enough to get up close and personal to one of these, we were allowed to look at it but not touch as Mr. Lee signed it. It was a special moment. Mr. Lee was delighted to see one of these again.
Happy bidding.
Cheers
Colin

Colin | Hello everyone,
Thanks for the link to this, Colin! It's fascinating to see another golden gun up for auction. I've seen one of these before on ebay. In fact, before the gun was put on ebay I had previously seen it up close in person at the "Celebration in Film" for Mr Lee in Heathrow (November, 2004). Anyway, that one had the distinction of being signed by Christopher Lee, and sold for £2,500. This current one already has a bid of US $1,495, and it will be interesting to see what price it finally reaches. I wrote quite a long post about the golden gun back when it was up for auction. For those of you interested in reading it, here is the link: Signed replica golden gun on ebay, and the thread link: http://www.christopherleeweb.com/for...0460#post30460.
Anyway, thanks again, Colin! All I need to do now is win the euromillions lottery on Friday, and I'll be able to gazump the current bidder by sliding in a last-minute bid of my own. Take care everyone:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

First I'll wait to see if you get money and bid for the gun, though! Anyway, take care, and don't be surprised when you find the empty shelf!
Warmest regards,

Andrés | [font=Book Antiqua][size=2]Thank you for the information contained in the link above. I have the book, but I didn't translate this part still, now I can spare that in this passage. As I thank! (to do this translation gives me a lot of work and it is slow, then I make that little by little).
It is a grace but today I received an email inviting so that I become a Member-player of the euro million. As our money (real) it has value of much smaller exchange than the euro and the pound sterling, I won't participate (for the time being).
In this email he says that the prize of this week is

In this email he says that the prize of this week is €179.000.000... I twist for you to win, Andrés!! When Mr. Lee says that it is not very good with the hands, to not to be to play golf and to use a fencing, soon I thought: "that should be a problem of the geminis" few that I know has fine motricidade well developed to work with small things as those pieces of the weapon that should be fit. | You're welcome, Isabel! It would be a very good idea for the publishers of Mr Lee's books to translate them into different languages, such as Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, etc. because he has so many admirers from countries all over the world, and not everyone is fortunate enough to have a good command of the English language. I know for certain that this would please a lot of people. It may already be available in other languages, I don't know, but if it isn't it should be. I know my mother would probably love to sit and read Mr Lee's book in Spanish whenever she had some spare time, although she finds reading for long periods of time strenuous on the eyes.
Thank you so much for your good luck wishes for the euromillion lottery as well! I have my ticket ready and waiting, but I never seem to have much luck... What to do with so much money though! One thing I would definitely want to do would be to finance the film Cowboys For Christ. That would be a most worthwhile investment. It would be a good opportunity to help disadvantaged people across the world, to set up some schools or hospitals where they are most needed. I'll keep on dreaming for my riches to come in, hehe!
As for what you say about the problems of geminis and dexterity with their hands. Well, Mr Lee might have difficulties with handling awkward props, etc. but it didn't seem to trouble Peter Cushing at all, and he too was a gemini. I've watched Mr Cushing in many films working away with his hands effortlessly, and delivering his lines at the same time. Next time you watch one of the Frankenstein films, pay careful attention to this. He was nicknamed "Props Peter", and Mr Lee has said more than once that Peter Cushing used to drive him mad by doing what he did with the different objects.
Well, there we go. Thanks again, Isabel. Take care:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

Seriously, though, I'm curious. What items do you have on your shelf? And no, I'm not asking to tick off the ones I already have so that I don't end up taking what I don't need!
Warmest regards,
Andrés

haha. I love that character. And it's Bouqet. hehe.
No of course you wont take them I know that. hehe. I have three editions of Mr Lees biography and two magazine interviews. Some photographs, Movie still postcards, a t-shirt, a saruman mugg, saruman action figure, two other books on Mr Lee one signed by the author and Mr Lee. And then the DVD shelf below.
That's all. That gun would have a nice home here. I hope who ever gets it know what a great piece of cinema history he/she has.

A lot of "Keeping Up Appearances" was actually filmed in and around Coventry. When my girlfriend was studying at Warwick University, I used to travel up there all the time by train, and many a time I've stood on the same platform that Hyacinth went to when she volunteered to meet the Commodore (Nigel Davenport, who also played Van Helsing to Jack Palance's Dracula). It's at Leamington Spa. I'm also responsible for introducing my girlfriend to the show, and creating yet another "Keeping Up Appearances" fan!
Anyway, your collection on Mr Lee sounds absolutely wonderful! ~writes up his list~ "Photographs... T-shirt... Saruman Mug..." Hehe! Just kidding... or not... ha! Take care:
Warmest regards,
Andrés

Warmest regards,
Andrés | I love location scouting. It's fun. Well my collection is just a small leaf in the wind to what other people have in their collection but I'm grateful for what I have.
Now that were discussing memorobilia does any one know of any museum that show film memorobilia and props etc.??? Would love to visit one.

Cheers
Colin.
question..... does anyone know what the only piece of film memoribilia/prop that Mr. Lee has kept personally.
Extra points if you know what film it was.
