Smile Oscar Nominations

The Official List of Oscar Nominations will not be out until this evening. However, the BBC is reporting 'possible Oscar contenders', with Corpse Bride as one of the selections in the catagory of 'Best Animated Feature Film of the Year'.
Up against: Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit and Hauru no ugoku shiro.

The IMDB is also reporting: Star Wars:ROTS is up for 'Best Achievement in Makeup', and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for 'Best Achievement in Costume Design'.....

Should be an interesting competition....

Helen

I'd not be surprised, I loved the Corpse Bride with it's 'dead humor' and I loved Revenge of the Sith. Beg your pardon but Mr. Lee looked quite...*blush* nevermind.

I haven't seen the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as I didn't have the time yet but I heard it was pretty funny

*blows a kiss*

Re: Oscar Nominations

There is a nice article about an interview with Tim Burton, since Corpse Bride has been nominated for an Oscar..........

In this interview Tim Burton talks about his animators and the stop motion animation. He also makes some lovely comments about Mr. Lee...........

I would love to include the comments here, however the article specifically states that no part can be used.........

But the following should hopefully be safe to say:

Tim Burton has a deep respect for Mr. Lee, and thinks he is amazing and incredible....

If you are interested you can find the article at:

Cheers,
Helen
