Wink Some of Mr. Lee's earlier films on DVD

For anyone interested, Retroflicks has several of Mr. Lee's earlier films on DVD. These are DVD-R, there is no region indicated at the website. However, I did purchase "Terror in the Crypt" awhile ago, and the cover indicates Region Free.

Retroflicks just added "Corridor of Mirrors" (1948) to their inventory. The other titles they currently have are:

Hercules in the Center of the Earth (1963)
Terror in the Crypt (1963)
Castle of the Living Dead (1964)

The quality of these movies is based on the original production.

If you are interested the website is:

It will be interesting to see how many other of Mr. Lee's earlier films make it to DVD......

Cheers,
Helen

No matter how good the the transfer, or how good these discs look, dvd-r is a rip-off in my book.
Especially since they charge $10. Empty dvd-r = about 0.50 cents.

Btw, Hercules In The Center Of the Earth has been released in the US by Fantoma, which is an official release.
It's better to buy that release. ;)

Re: Some of Mr. Lee's earlier films on DVD

You are right Jacob. I have the Fantoma Release, and I don't know what the RetroFlicks release looks like. Terror in the Crypt though is pretty good. I have a number of Mr. Lee's earlier movies on VHS, but they were extremely hard to find and sometimes expensive. One that I would love to get my hands on is Penny and the Pownell case, However, the only copy I have been able to find to date is being sold for $50.00. If I were rich, this wouldn't be a problem...However..........

Unfortunately, a lot of companies don't consider movies worth converting to DVD that were "less than blockbuster", or lesser known.

I would be happy to know of any new sources of Mr. Lee's earlier movies, that I haven't explored yet....

Thank You for your help.

Cheers,
Helen

Marije Kraa is on a distinguished road
Re: Some of Mr. Lee's earlier films on DVD

I'm glad I found this thread for I'm looking for some older movies with Mr. Lee starring in it.

I've gone to the library to hire some videos only to discover our video recorder was kaputz and when I obtained a videorecorder the videos were kaputz too *bangs her head on the desk*

Then I went to look on E-Bay and well, you can only pay with creditcard, paypal and well, being sixteen I don't have either of those.

Same for the UKTV Gold, we don't receive it here.

Does anyone know where I can watch it or find old movies where Mr. Lee stars in?
