Cool Scaramanga in the Medical Journals

The BBC and other Medical Journals are reporting that researchers have found a gene linked to breast development. They have named this new gene 'Scaramanga'...Though more in-depth research is needed, researchers are hoping that understanding this new gene may help in the fight against cancer.

So The Man with the Golden Gun has crossed from 'entertainment' to 'science'....

Below is the website for the article on the Scaramanga gene:

The abstract for this research can be found in the Genes and Development Journal at:

Cheers,

Re: Scaramanga in the Medical Journals

First let me say a warm hello to everyone, as this is not my first post, but rather my first post in a long time!

Anyway, I too heard about this "Scaramanga Gene." How many actors can say there is a medical condition that was named after a character they portrayed?
