Hello everyone,
Excellent news, Helen!! I watched last night's programme celebrating the many people who have entertained viewers here in the UK, and across the world with high hopes that Mr Lee would receive a much-deserved star along the avenue at Covent Garden. I must have either missed his name and face amongst those mentioned throughout the show, or he was not mentioned on the night itself.
I must confess that the list you indicate in your post contains several surprises, in the sense that quite a few of the names received no mention at all during the programme, or if they did, it must have been a fleeting mention while I was out of the room. I know my mother was watching the show as well, and she didn't spot Mr Lee either. I wonder if anyone else who watched last night knows whether or not he was cited.
In any case, it is absolutely brilliant to see that Mr Lee is being "officially" recognised for all his many years of entertaining people all over the world, and the star is a very lovely way of paying tribute to an even lovelier gentleman. My one great disappointment is that they forgot to reserve one for the sadly missed Mr Peter Cushing, who also deserved a star for his brilliant work in TV and Cinema. Hopefully, he will have a star too, and in the not too distant future. My concern right now though is... "between which two names have they placed Mr Lee:questionm"
Warmest regards,
Andrés
