Rep Power: 29 | The Corpse Bride
With Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride opening on September 23rd (Here in the US), we have yet another opportunity to experience a performance of Mr. Lee's!
The Tim Burton Collective Website, has a countdown clock, watching the days, hours, minutes and seconds until the opening, and there are some great links for trailers and preview reviews (some with spoilers)....But we know the time is drawing near, as the Television Spots have now started (at least where I am).....
This looks to be a great movie and I am greatly looking forward to seeing it....Not only for Mr. Lee's performance, but the story sounds intriguing........
If you are interested the website for The Corpse Bride can be found at: http://www.timburtoncollective.com/
Now, that this anticipated venture is within reach, we can only hope that we will soon hear some news on another of Mr. Lee's performances.... in The Adventures of Greyfriar's Bobby.....
Cheers,

I saw the Television spot for The Corpse Bride yesterday morning....There is a brief (2 to 3 seconds) view of Mr. Lee with headphones on reading his part! It was great not only seeing Mr. Lee, but getting a glimpse of what goes on 'behind the scenes'....I hope everyone gets a chance to see this!
Cheers,

I am looking forward to it also!
It seems the Corpse Bride got rave reviews at the Venice Film Festival, although it wasn't IN competition......
Reuter's UK article on the Venice Film Festival review can be seen at: http://today.reuters.co.uk/News/news...E-FESTIVAL.xml
Note: Warner Brothers has an 'official' Corpse Bride website that has some really cool and fun stuff....including video clips and pics..... http://corpsebridemovie.warnerbros.com/#

Any project featuring Christopher Lee, Johnny Depp, and Tim Burton is a must see! Thank you, Mr. Burton, for having the good taste to celebrate our best character actors!

I missed seeing Star Wars III (makes me sick everytime I think about it,) so this is one film I can't miss seeing in theaters.

Well, it is time to start a new record. I went to see the Corpse Bride yesterday, and so broke a 7 year hiatus of movie going.
But was it worth it....This movie is excellent. I give it a 10! Mr. Lee? Excellent as always, absolutely riveting. In fact all of the performances were brilliant.
The attention to detail in this production is phenomenal. I have written a review....
This is definitely one for the Christopher Lee collection...
I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did..
Cheers, ;)
