Mr. Lee in the National Portrait Gallery

Some of you may know that Mr. Lee has been the 'sitter' of four portraits housed in the National Portrait Gallery in London.

Mr. Lee has been photographed by Terry O'Neill, Norman Parkinson, and Brian Aldrich.
Unfortunately, the web images of these portraits have not been available due to matters concerning copyright.
I have checked from time to time, hoping that the status of the portraits has changed....

Recently, the Portrait taken by Terry O'Neill is now available as a web image.
This a wonderful picture taken around (or during) the time that 'The House of the Long Shadows' was filmed.
It is a great image of what Terry O'Neill has titled 'The Four Kings of Horror'....

If you have the chance, visit the NPG's website and view this wonderful picture.....

Re: Mr. Lee in the National Portrait Gallery

Lovely photo! Pleased to see it in the National Portrait Gallery. Mediocre film at best, but a truly remarkable cast...unlike any other film really. Seems fitting that such a prestigious gathering of stars has a place in such a prestigious collection.

On a far less prestigious, but highly coincidental note, just this week I had a 1-sheet poster for "House of the Long Shadows" flushmounted for hanging in the hallway just outside my home office, in our new house. It is the only non-Sherlock Holmes related piece to hit the walls in what has become 'my space', which to those that know me, says a great deal about my appreciation of this remarkable cast. Beautiful poster in my opinion, so I just couldn't resist.
