Hello everyone,
I discovered the following article about Mr Lee on the Internet, and thought I would share it with everyone here for those of you who may be interested:
http://www.camdenchronicle.co.uk/con...A13%3A44%3A523
In short, the article describes an event, the launching of the "Notable Asians in Camden" exhibition, which took place at the Camden Archives Centre at Holborn Library in Theobalds Road, on Tuesday. Apparently, Mr Lee "cut the ribbon" at the exhibition and will also "be giving a private talk to councillors about Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founding father of Pakistan, who features in the exhibition."
The article also quotes an historian, Mimi Romilly, as having said that "'Mr Lee is extremely interested in this exhibition and has expressed a desire to give a talk on a much larger scale when he is less busy filming.'" Among the names of notable Asians who feature in the exhibition are Gandhi, Dabadhai Naoroji, the first Asian MP, and Ravi Shankar.
It sounds like a wonderful exhibition indeed, and one well worth attending. I shall try to visit the Camden Archives Centre, and I hope that those of you who are interested in finding out more about this exhibition will also try to view the exhibition. If Mr Lee does go on to speak again about this, as the article suggests, I should very much like to attend. I wish I had known in advance that Mr Lee would be launching this exhibition, although perhaps it was not open to the general public. In any case, it is lovely to see Mr Lee at the centre of such interesting activities:
Warmest regards to all,
Andrés :)
