Happy Birthday, Pam!!

Hello to everybody,

I do not know if anyone else has noticed, but I just happened to realise that today is Pam's birthday, and I thought I would take the opportunity to wish her a Very Happy Birthday with many, many Happy Returns!!

I don't know Pam very well, at least not as well as some of the other members on CLW, but nevertheless, I have always enjoyed reading her posts. I also understand from these, and from her various articles in the "Articles" section, that she held the position of vice-president, and later president of the Christopher Lee International Club, during the late 70s and early 80s. As I wasn't born until 1980, this was all a bit before my time, and I can't begin to imagine what a wonderful time Pam must have had with the club. I would have loved to have been a member, but, as I said, it all came and went before my time. Luckily, CLW came along so at least I didn't lose out altogether. :)

Without wishing to draw this post out too long, I thought I would also take advantage of this occasion to thank Pam for all her wonderful articles, giving the rest of us a special insight into the life and career of Mr Lee. I have found them informative, entertaining, and, in many instances, highly humorous and touching. We are indeed privileged (I think I can safely speak on behalf of everyone) to have somebody so closely connected to Mr Lee contributing to the site. I only hope that you are able to find the time to continue to regale us with more interesting accounts of Mr Lee.

Finally, I also hope that everyone else will take this opportunity to add their own best wishes for Pam. God bless you all:

(Pam walks into the room, leaning on Yoda's cane)...I still have my own teeth! Ha, seriously, I did have a wonderful time with the club back in the 70s. Very slow communication, snail mail, but we managed. It was so nice for me because having Christopher close by and able to spend time with him at conventions and at his home put me in a great place to talk to his admirers about him in detail and assuage any views they had that he was anything but a wonderful, kind gentleman with a great sense of fun.

Website communication is a vast improvement over letters, but I have to admit, I wouldn't be 25 again now for the world. Ok, I'd like my body back from when I was 25, but I think I'll keep my old mind and memories...:)

Thank you all so very much for your very nice messages, both online and private, wishing me a happy birthday. My birthday presents were...all Star Wars stuff! I actually have Darth Vader sitting on my desk, the bank that talks and lights up and does the March so loud my boss comes over and says "shhhhhhh!" Hey, I may be 49, never said I actually grew up...

(Pam leaves the room, the cane turns into a lightsabre, and she flips out the door...)

Well Happy B-day ALSO! & U know what? i don't Consider 49 old! U are a few yrs younger than BOTH my parents! & i don't consider them old either. anywys i'm glad U had a good birthday though. :D!!
