The Star Wars Experience

Everyone, be sure to check out AOL's Star Wars Experience, if you haven't already. There's some awesome stuff here, including the entire soundtrack CD and many ultra-cool videos.

Enjoy!

Re: The Star Wars Experience

Well, the first reviews are out and so far they're outstanding.

ROTS is on the cover of Time this week, reviewed by Richard Corliss. He's calling it a grand return to the classic style of the original films. There are other reviews out there as well, from people who've seen it at classification screenings and such, and the word is equally positive.

Anticipation indeed!

Re: The Star Wars Experience

This one means more to me because i can bring my son. He loves all the films and it will be the first time he is old enough to see a Christopher Lee film in the movies, to me that is a big deal and something i cant wait to experiance with him. Everytime he sees the commercials he goes DADA Star wars!! Just to be in a theater whith him when the theme music plays and seeing him get excited will be one of the best feelings a Dad can have.

I have photos and movie posters of Christopher Lee all over my house so he knows who he is although we call him Dooku (not Christopher lee for now)I have a feeling this will be the best of the three prequels but even if it makes THe Phantom Menace look like Citizen Kane having my son with me to see a Christopher Lee film in a movie theater will be such a huge thing i will remember for a long time.

Re: The Star Wars Experience

I echo your sentiments, Fred. Although my daughter's been with me for the entire prequel trilogy, she was only one for TPM, and only four for AOTC. She's come to know and love them both on DVD in the last couple of years (she's a Jar Jar freak, forgive her), but this will mark her first real theatrical experience of Star Wars. I couldn't agree with you more -- this is prime daddiness.

What about prime Mumminess? :-D

My daughter is a year older than yours Dave. Her first movie in the theater was Phantom Menace (mine was New Hope!) but I was 8 at the time. Unfortunately, she has a very vivid imagination and gets nightmares easily, so she won't be going to this one with us at first. She says she's ok with that. So, I guess her dad and I will go it alone... :-(

I've considered this, but I figure that with all the weird anime stuff my girl watches nightly, and without any bad dreams, she should do just fine with ROTS.

Hope I don't regret it...

Re: The Star Wars Experience

My son is probally to young , but he has been exposed to my books and movie posters for so long he doesnt scare at all. He loves to watch aboott and costello meets frankenstien with me and i got him some Universal monster action figures he loves to plays with ... he loves star wars too much to not take him to see it ...i debated going with out him at first to check it out, but i know him well enough to know nothing in this movie will scare him even though it will be a bit darker . Getting closer... cant wait !!!!
