tessiegirl is on a distinguished road
Thank you, Christopher Lee!

Several people have posted their touching stories about how Christopher Lee has impacted their lives, and I wanted to share about how he has changed mine.
When I was young, I wanted to be an actress. I was an imaginative kid

Re: Thank you, Christopher Lee!

Amen Tess, I feel the same. For me, my "introduction to Christopher Lee" came when I was 12. I was in "summer school",because I'd "failed" 8th grade English that year, anyway it was around July 4th holiday and summer school was out, so I stayed up late. I watched a TV movie called "Poor Devil" and thought "the actor playing the Devil was a fox!(Handsome)". Well,it turned out to be Chris Lee. At that time, I was not "aware" of "Hammer Horror" or that Christopher had "played Dracula"(my first "horror movie was the "Lugosi version"). Soon, I was trying to see anything that Christopher did and in a way "saved my sanity''. My brother "got involved in drugs and booze" and has basically put our family THROUGH HELL AND I DO MEAN HELL! No offense to anyone on the CLWeb,including Christopher and his family, but until you have been through what my family's been, because of my brother--you KNOW nothing. My brother "claims" that he does not "use anymore",but I know better. Christopher's movies have also helped me to cope with my father's battles with cancer (He just finished his FOURTH BATTLE with the disease----he's in "remission" for now) and with my dad's MAJOR HEART ATTACK in 1999. The doctors "discovered" that my dad has the "Very same heart condition" that Christopher had surgery for inthe same year my dad fought his first battle with cancer (1985---my dad had a tumor in his spine, has a piece of plastic and wires holding his spine "together",he almost ended up paralyzed from the waist down) .But because of his cancer, they may never be able to give him (my dad) heart surgery, even if he should need it. As for your religion----Everyone has the right to believe what they want,as far as I'm concerned. I could care less if you are a "Christian","Jewish","Pagan", or whatever-----it's how you treat others that counts. Maybe we can "teach those TV preachers a thing or two". I, too want to meet Christopher, and like you Tess, thank him for all the years of joy and happiness he's brought to me because of his films. By the way----my parents will be celebrating 44 years of marriage this month, two weeks after Christopher and his lovely bride.
