Once upon a time, we had a thread specifically for trivia. One person posted a poser, then the one who guessed correctly won the right to post the next. Shall we start this up again? I note the trivial pursuit started up by Patty, and just thought it should have its own topic.

I agree, it would be easier to keep track of if trivia had its own thread......Well?
Cheers,

Yes, let the trivia questions have their own thread back - good idea, Dave!
Shall we answer the last question of the other thread here or start with a new one?

I read the last question posed by Patty and hadn't a single clue (those were some major tuffies, Patty!), so if nobody else has anything I'll take the ball:
It was Peter Cushing's idea to shove a spear through Mr. Lee's chest in The Mummy and have it protrude out Kharis' back, without effect. What was it, specifically, that gave Mr. Cushing this idea?
My questions are always too easy.

Hi Dave
If memory serves me right it was somethingto do with the pre-production poster that showed a light coming through the mummy's stomach and it was not in the movie.
Cheers
Colin.

Without looking it up, one of them is "Safari 3000", I just watched it the other day.
As for the second one, I read that somewhere... yep, it's The Salamander.
Right?

Colin's answer, obviously, was the correct one...Mr. Cushing mentioned this in "Flesh & Blood," as Milkbone points out. The poster showed a light shining through Kharis' chest, which is something that wasn't in the script. He felt it unfair to show something in the ads that wasn't going to happen in the movie, so he devised the spearing scene. Always a man of integrity, Mr. Cushing.
Just to remind, the idea here is for the first correct answerer to take the ball and run. So technically, Colin should be the one to post the next question.
Technically...

I'll let this one go, just this once mind you.
So if Tauremorna has answered Milkbones question right, take it away from there. <<<< goes into a darkened room and weeps uncontrolably.
Cheers

Oops... I just jumped at the question without realizing that the person who said "yes, right!" wasn't the person who had asked the question. :o
Now, I can't bear people weeping *hands Colin a BIG handkerchief* - why don't you give us a new question to think about while we wait for Milkbone? After all, it's your turn (technically :) ) and you already have the go-ahead from Dave. Who knows, I might even know the answer to your question (but knowing your questions, I doubt it ;)).
Please, give us a new challenge! I'll keep my prospective question in mind, and I'll get another chance to ask it. (You shall hear from me again... or words to that effect ;) )
Tau
Edit: Timing... I couldn't see Milkbone's message when I sent this one. Anyway, Colin, it's yours.

[quote=Milkbone]SORRY COLIN!! Just "beat me with a dented can of ALPO!". QUOTE]
Would that be with or without gravy
Right, this is a little stinker of a question, but guessable.
In my possession I have a supliment magazine from THE DAILY TELEGRAPH. In it Mr. Lee is modelling clothes, oriental ones to be precise. Below is an extract from the magazine, all you have to do is come up with the actresses name. Liberty's has now completed the full circle in 100 years of trading by opening an Oriental Bazarr (which is how it all began) on July 23. It's buyers have made several trips to the East, even venturing behind the Bamboo Curtain, and returned with exotic clothes, objects d'art and furniture. Who better than Christopher lee to do justice to these imperial clothes, and to compliment him actress ---------------- daughter of and .
Cheers
Colin.

Hey colin----gravy is fine,my dogs take it either way!!!:D :D :D As to your question---- could the actress be none other than Chris Lee"s daughter,Christina? Here's my question: Name the movie in which Chris Lee is "burned alive" while being tied to a chair. Ya'll will have to think on this one, however I'll give ya'll a "HINT": Christopher Lee "played a gypsy".

Colin, could you give us the date of this article? Might help narrow the possibilities down...?
