GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, voice of Scaramanga

With Everquest II having just been released, gamers can already here Christopher Lee voicing a character. Later this month we will have another opportunity when GoldenEye: Rogue Agent is released on Nov 26.

[i]GoldenEye: Rogue Agent Company Line
Why save the world when you can rule it? GoldenEye: Rogue Agent goes where no previous James Bond game has dared to tread, giving you the chance to cross over to the dark side of the Bond universe to experience life as a ruthless and unpredictable villain.

The focus of this first-person shooter shifts from that of 007 himself to the corrupt underworld and its criminal masterminds. As an aspiring 00 agent dismissed from MI6 for reckless brutality, you're recruited by Auric Goldfinger in a ruthless war against Dr. No for control of the Bond underworld. A brutal encounter with Dr. No costs you an eye, but Goldfinger's technicians replace it with a gold-hued, synthetic and upgradeable eye, earning you the name 'GoldenEye'.

Wreak havoc as you make your unrelenting rise through the ranks of villainy. Encounter such legendary allies and enemies as Oddjob, Dr. No, Goldfinger, Scaramanga, Xenia Onatopp, and Pussy Galore on globe-spanning missions of vengeance and demolition.

Villains rule in GoldenEye: Rogue Agent.

Features of the game include:

Thumbs up Re: GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, voice of Scaramanga

I've heard about this game.
It's interesting about Mr. Lee lending his voice for Scaramanga,
I don't know if any of you agree but I'd say his voice has differed quite considerably since The Man with the Golden Gun..?

I don't know... I don't think the voice he used for Scaramanga was simply his natural voice even at the time: I think he was giving the character particular tones and inflexions which he wouldn't normally use himself, either then or now. I should think he can 'find' Scaramanga's voice again if he wants to.

I agree with this. I think that Mr. Lee as a highly experienced actor, would "act" with every part of himself, including his voice, and could masterfully imitate his original role in audio. Even if Mr. Lee's voice may have naturally "deepened" over the years, if the producers prefer to have it exactly match Scaramanga's range and inflections, it's probable that they could do something with it technologically in this computer age.

Re: GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, voice of Scaramanga

Just last night, December 6, we saw a clip of this on our Canadian entertainment show called, e-Talk Daily. Mr. Lee's voice as Scaramanga sounded right-on to the original, and there was a short statement by Mr. Lee (couldn't catch the words because of our almost 4-year old playing in front of the TV!). This segment was run in connection with their report on what the estimated top 5 video game sales will be for this Christmas season. The clip may not have originated with eTalk Daily, yet it was great to see Mr. Lee featured in the promotion of this Bond video game.
