Hello André !
So kind to reply to my thread...I did my best to write this e-mail you've read in English...and it was wonderful to get your reply on the site....actually I'm not a "superman" with the PC...so it took me time to learn it, as I belong to the old generation !...Well, it was a such a great time we spent at the Heathrow event....and thank again to all the staff...evething went on perfetly...and the surprise was having the opportunity to watch a small film on the net! Just great ! Unfortunaltly I could not recognize you face among the crowd...but I still remember your knowledge about Christopher Lee's career....it's amazing. In France we have not all the opportunities to see all his films, I mean the latest ones....but in London, I bought "
Theatre of death" directed by Sam Gallu...it's a very strange film I can assure you....Lee is just strong and frightening, as a the Devil himself (to use a Lee's expression !....), but he goes out from the story at the end at the film without explainations.....strange...I also bought "
Horror Hotel"....but I could not find another favorite one call
"The hands of Orlac", half made in France by Edmond T Greville, in the 60's....Well, I have a lot of stuff in my home about films of this period, as I told you...specially in French magazines...because in our country Christopher Lee was (and he's still) very popular.
Well, I hope to come again in London, may be next year, for another Christopher Lee's even....about the making of the next DVD :"
The Making of a Legend"...next volumes... during the event Mr Lee told me he had no time to continue this work for the meantime....let's hope this will be soon...By the way, what is your opinion about the first
volume 1 DVD you have ? Let me have your "impressions". I enjoyed it very much myself. I have to mention the introduction by the very intelligent
John Rhys-Davies... Please forgive my English....Wishing you all the best , looking forward to read you soon again...and on other member's threads also...
Take care of yourself, your french friend,
Screamer
