I don't think there is much need for alarm. The key phrase is:
Quote:
| Though usually not cancerous, changing flat spots might actually be a form of superficial melanoma skin cancer. Evaluation of dark growths, even if they seem entirely flat, is warranted. |
Yup, I'd agree that change in moles and skin discoloration are worth checking out, but...and it is a rather large but... there is no evidence or cause for alarm in this particular instance. While two photos of Mr. Lee are present on the site, one is an enlarged detail of the other, so no evidence of change is actually shown. And even if there had been, there are so many factors involved that photos are no evidence in their own riight.
Note that I've got
changing as well as
might included in the bold text. These words are really at the crux of the piece. Skin spots
might be agreat many things...or as with so many things, they are likely completely harmless.
In any event, I'd hardly give any creedence to a layman's site based on a stray photo of this nature. So relax folks, don't give it a second thought as I'm confident that Mr. Lee takes good care of himself and that any minor skin discolorations, whether due to sun or natural aging, are looked after by a trained physician with whatever degree of concern might be in order.
The most damage that this site-link could have is if a few misguided souls start fueling a pathetic rumour mill, so give it the attention it deserves and let it die.
Cheers!
