The Silent Flute is another name for Circle of Iron starring David Carradine. You can read more about it here.

Circle of iron was terrible it was one of C.lee's worst movies. i almost fell asleep watching it. all it did was drag on an it really didn't have much of a plot that i can remember. the best part of the movie was C.lee's cameo at the tail well the last 15 or so min of the movie. an even he seemed bored in that one!

I really liked The Silent Flute a.k.a. Circle Of Iron but I can understand as to why it's an aquired taste .
It was mostly written by Bruce Lee and contains much of his philosophical views on life and the martial arts .
Being a HUGE Bruce Lee fan and a student of the martial arts , this film was everything I was hoping for . Many fans had been panicing at the film being completed without Bruce at the helm but with his friend James Coburn completing the script we need'nt have worried . The fact that Christopher Lee has a cameo was icing on the cake .

I received my Japanese DVDs this week. I have watched FLESH AND BLOOD - and not too bad quality - I think the flaws that were there were courtesy of the BBC filming (eg Hazel Court in blooming white). The 100 YEARS OF HORROR set I have only seen 1 episode so far ("Bela Lugosi") and again the quality is average - sadly there are Japanese subtitles that I cannot remove on this disc (which I suspect will be on all the discs in this set).

Best of all was the COLUMBO disc where the quality is superb. A Universal release, luckily all the 1967-1978 episodes are available. The one I watched was with the late great Ruth Gordon ("Try and Catch Me" 1977)

Mark , glad to see you're a Columbo fan ..... he's just the best .
Oh , just one more thing ;)
Is there any sign of the missing footage from Horror Of Dracula that the producers of Flesh And Blood were looking for ? ie. the disintegration scene .

No Matt sorry, no sign of that sequence. And the programme was 100min (ie not 2 x 50min).
