It seems like this year is shaping up to be another great DVD year for Christopher Lee fans. Last year was awesome with HOD, COF, to the Devil a Daughter, Hercules in the Haunted World, Oblong Box, Scream and Scream again and whatever else I cant remmeber of the top of my head!! This year we await
1. the Private Life of Sherlock Holmes
2. Hannie Caulder
3. Raw Meat
im sure theres a few more i forgot or dont know about so please let me know if I forgot some. Which of these new releases are the members most excited about. For me, although i always love the horror films first, I have to say Hannie Caulder is number 1 on my list. I have never seen it and look forward to seeing Christopher as a gunslinger as its a role i have never seen him play. Having heard only good things about sherlock Holmes that would be a close 2nd... but Hannie Caulder i cant wait for that!!! What does everyone else think

Three very good and VERY diffirent movies there .
Wilders Holmes film is the best of the bunch , great stuff .
Hannie Caulder is an enjoyable , if over exploitative , revenge western and Raw Meat aka Deathline is one of the best British horror films of the 70's . Christopher Lee only makes a cameo appearance but the whole film is a gem , particularly Donald Pleasance's star turn as the police inspector ........ high on my list to buy .

actually that site dvd drive-in says not october of 2003 but AUGUST of 2003! which is pretty sweet i think. an also better than october. I've always wanted to see THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD. my Lenard Maltin Movie Guide rates for the movie is i think 2 stars perhaps i can't remember what he gave it anyways he states in it that the 1st segment an the last are the best. is he right for those who have indeed seen it?

The first segmant is very good with Denholm Elliot going bonkers the last is the best part of the movie with John Petree and Ingrid Pitt in the cloak. Its sale on Ebay right now with some other Christopher Lee movies for $15.00

The best segment, in my opinion, in THTDB is Mr. Lee's, in which he plays the much-troubled father of a very special little girl.
I also love Peter Cushing's. Oh, hell -- I love the whole film! It's easily my favorite of the Amicus anthologies.

Well, no question for me, the most eagerly awaited upcoming DVD release is without a doubt The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes. This brilliant little gem from one of the best directors of all-time is long overdue for a DVD release.
"Beeg dog from Bahs-ker-veel" indeed!
Cheers!
