| | Guest | Quote: | I see that you can buy some autograph items here on the site. Are they really from Mr. Lee? Some of them are a bit pricey for my budget. But I would like to buy something. | Every autograph on this site is the real thing, this site is run by Mr. Lee's son-in-law, and Mr. Lee's Daughter.
This is as close to Mr. Lee, as you can get, we even get to see Mr. Lee from time to time, when his not so busy.
As for starting a collection of Mr. Lee's memorabilia, well starting at some of his films would be good you can pick most of them up at very little money now.
I have lots of videos, DVDs, photo's, mini busts, books, letters, autographs, CDs.
I have been collecting for a very long time.
There is a place called E-Bay where you can some times pick up some very good deals.
This is the best site on the web!!!!!

Amen, Star!
I live by eBay, as many here know...I'm sitting here in my study surrounded by mountains of CL and Hammer/British horror fantasy memorabilia, most of which I bought on eBay.
My pride and joy is a bust of Mr. Lee's Dracula, which I got for around $200.00 on eBay. It's absolutely the most accurate representation I've ever seen. I uploaded a pic of it once, so I probably won't be allowed to send it up again, but I'll try.
In addition to that I have other busts, movies by the score, magazines, books, posters, postcards, autographs, figurines and dolls, bubble gum cards, playing cards, books, bookmarks, toys, lithos, LPs, CDs...
Astounding my wife puts up with it all.

Actually NOW is the right time to start collecting Christopher Lee. Thanks to LOTR and AOTC ther is a wealth of Christopher Lee mdse. I would recommend Ebay as well and look for lobby cards and horror magazines. Mr. Lee was on many covers of Horror mags in the 60s and 70s and they can be picked up cheap at Ebay. I for one love lobby cards and posters right now There is a Wickerr Man poster on ebay but its over my budget but its a great original item. (Suprised Dave H hasnt grabbed that one yet);)
Some lobby card repros are great to hang on the wall and can be picked up for about $10.00 If you try to get originals they become a bit pricey. A few years a go we werent as lucky as we are now. Check out the past thread of Collecting Christopher Lee and you will get some more ideas. I have to go now and eat my Count Dooku Cereal.

I have a few Count Dooku action figures and a Saruman figure, that really resemble Mr. Lee. Also, I have Count Dooku's light saber and a couple of Dooku items. I went to ebay and found quite a few pictures of Mr. Lee in many of his famous movie roles. The ones that I have are Scaramanga, Dooku, Dracula. None of them are autographed, but they are nice pictures and only cost me from$6-12 a piece.
I recommend that you go to ebay, and also go to toy stores to find Dooku and Lord of the Rings stuff. Oh, and I also have Count Dooku folders and notebooks that I found at Toys R' US. It may take some hunting, but there are lots Mr. Lee memorbilia if you just look in the right place.
Happy Hunting.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention one of my favorite Christopher Lee toys. I bought a Lego set at Walmart the other day, that features Yoda and Count Dooku on his speeder bike. It's way cool, and only cost around $6.00.

Most people will work with you, so will take what you have, even postal orders.
don't be put off by not having credit, you can always e-mail the person first to see what they will take:D

Yep, Star, you got it. It is lovely, isn't it? :)
Actually, it looks even better up close. It's a bit dark in the photo.
The detail on this baby never ceases to astound me.
Yeah, a lot of people have gone quiet lately, it's true. I've been thinking the same thing recently.

Anne, Star is very right...there are many ways to pay on eBay. I rarely use my credit card (I rarely have an available balance!). I typically pay by my checking account (you can have your checking linked up to PayPal instead of a credit card), and also sometimes by mail. The average dealer, as Star said, accepts many forms of payment.

On eBay, my husband uses credit as a buyer. I have made one purchase with a money order, and have recently become a seller. (Nothing of Mr. Lee, because I wouldn't sell it unless it was a double of something.) I don't have anything with an original autograph of Mr. Lee's. I just may think about that at tax refund time....But over many years I have collected stills, lobby cards and pressbooks. I've seen similar items of Mr. Lee go for some pretty outrageous prices on eBay, but the prospect of making some bucks would not encourage me to part with even one item. As for the most "collectable", I suppose it would have to be autographed items, or things produced in limited numbers.
