OK, things just keep getting better for the peeps in the UK Star Wars fanclub! We've had the exclusive 'Dooku Evolution Print' to add to our collections, and now we've got an interview with Christopher Lee in the Fanclub mag', Jedi Journal! :D How cool is this?! He even made the picture on the front cover as Lord Tyranus, which I will share with you soon - it's a lovely picture. ;)
Here's what the editor of the 'Journal', Brian J. Robb, put in his column: "Having Christopher Lee feature in a Star Wars film is one of those casting coups which just feels so right... Whether it's the fact that his old Hammer horror co-star Peter Cushing graced the original Star Wars with his presence or that Lee suits the role of the distinguished ex-Jedi Count Dooku down to the ground, his appearance in Episode II was most satisfying.
"Of course, when it was announced he was to appear in Attack of the Clones, a few fan eyebrows were raised... Who could he be playing? What exactly was a 'charismatic separatist', as his role had been dubbed...? All became clear in May, but not until about halfway through the film when the mysterious Count Dooku made his low-key entrance...
"Of course, it was in that climatic battle with Jedi Master Yoda that we saw Dooku show his true colours and his skills. Not only did Lee get to use his real world sword skills, but courtesy of ILM Dooku was able to match Yoda, blow-for-Force-blow...
"This issue Christopher Lee talks to Jedi Journal about working with George Lucas on the latest Star Wars movie, his long film career and his role in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings..."
And check this out... a little and worthy mention for our dedicated webmaster (circled in red) - you're famous Juan! :D:
