I've seen this film numerous times in French only. In English, of course, it's Dracula, Father and Son. I've never been able to find it in English. My French is passable though, and the sight gags make up for what I don't understand. As a boy, Dracula's son Ferdinand, bowls using a skull as a ball. Papa Dracula (Mr. Lee) is a famous actor and sidelines in commercials, such as one for toothpaste. There's even an inflatable doll. A very funny film, with a few dark undertones, especially when father and son fall in love with the same girl. Mr. Lee's continuous disappointment in his son for not becoming a vampire any father could be proud of, is a constant throughout the movie. Dracula pere shakes his head sadly, "Ferdinand...." I totally enjoyed this movie.

i was lucky enough to purchase this movie on vhs in i 2001 i believe when bookseller went out of business. that was part books part movies for those who don't have one. and they use to carry music also. anyways I obtained the 1st pressing of the america's release from i believe 1982. i 'm told that is hard to find. and i'm also told there is another print i don't really know the year for that. but my VHS is in mint conditions and the tape is also in good condition.

i am still looking for a nice print of this film, i have a "Taped" copy that i caught on TV many years ago, and i hope it can be released on DVD in both languages in the futur.
Of course i would prefer the french version since it's the original one (and i am french) ,and also because mr. Lee played his part in french , and the dialogue and the way he delivers it is so funny.
my favourite line is when a very young Ferdinand knocks down the container (urn ??) in wich his mother's ashes were put while playing, and dad says to him in a masterful delivery :
Ferdinand ,on ne joue pas avec les cendres de sa mere!!
Ferdinand! stop playing with you mother's ashes!!.

Very fine film , and not a Dracula film Too, the count's name was only used for marketing reasons.

It's a great fun movie.

Luckily i found a copy many years ago on vhs.
Old rental version in reasonable shape.

Good thing for me it's Dutch subtitled. (I'm Dutch)
It's the original French version et mon Francais ces't ne pas that good. :D

A dvd release from this movie would be nice.
