A few weeks ago I picked up Death Train on DVD, and, with it costing only £3.99, I wasn't expecting too much of the film. And a good job too, becuase it wasn't brilliant, though it was alright, with a fairly strong cast, including Patrick Stewart and Pierce Brosnan, as well as Mr.Lee.

Ignoring the fact that the film wasn't very strong, I had only one main complaint - lack of subtitles! Mr.Lee spoke more Russian than English, I believe, and there was a spot of Italian elsewherein the film, too, yet none of it was subtitled! The Russian was spoke beutifully, don't get me wrong, but I would have appreciated knowing what was said! Is this a common feature to all versions of this film? And, if so, why aren't there any subtitles? Is it an intention that we don't really gather what is going on in the foreign tongue scenes?

Just curious... :) I appreciate any response.

Most DVDs have a subtitle option now - I was kinda disappointed that this one didn't. But, hey, that's what you get for £3.99! :P

I have that DVD, Mr. Lee is in it, and I don't know of a sequel to Horror Express.

There isn't a sequel to Horror Express, as far as I know... but I was on about Death Train, and there could well be a sequel to that. It probably did premier in 1993 on TV, STIMPY, because the film was made in 1992. I hadn't heard of it until my friend got me this book about Mr.Lee for Christmas, and it talked a little about it in there.

Horror Express is the better 'train' movie, though. :D IMO, anyway.

i was thinking of that Pierce bronson tv movie he did out here in america in the early 90's. i can't remember the name of it horror express which isn't what i meant i did see i didn't really care for it.
it was ok not one of his better films. but i know there is a lot of people on this site who think otherwise but everyones has their opionion.which i know is spelled wrong. anyways the title reminded me of that Pierce bronson movie that's all.

Yeah, Stimpy's right - it's the one with Pierce Brosnan. I'll scan the cover of my DVD if you like.

i must say i like being right it's rare that i am. Raw meat isn't on video that i know of. i have Leornard Maltins 2003 movie guide an in it say that it's not on video. but somtimes his information is also wrong but when it comes to movies being not on video he's normally right. least that's what i think i may be wrong though.so good luck that your tape is working.:P

Well, here's the cover - I'll attach it to the message. I hope this'll end the confusion. :) And I'm not sure I like the sound of 'Raw Meat'... LOL - what a title!
