I do have a question for whoever might be able to answer this - was this supposed to be a blue-screen for a later publicity still, or was it from a cut scene from the lightsaber battle or what?

No problem! I just saw it by mistake and thought I'd make sure I told the peeps at CLW.

I reckon it was a cut from the lightsabre duel - we know that there was Dooku two-sabre footage in existence. Then again, Mr.Lee does look slightly static - he could be mocking up a move in practise before 'Action' is called. I know the stunt co-ordianter goes through all their moves slowly at first, and what-not.

Or, then again, he could just be posing. :)

Either way, I love it! Perhaps someone else knows the true answer...

Perhaps one of the Admins can answer this. It would be interesting to know if there was indeed a double double saber battle, with both the Count and Anakin wielding two lightsabers at a time.

I was thinking about that, but I came to the conclusion that that was impossible: there was only 3 lightsabres in the room, each combatant having his own. When Anakin had two, he wielded both his and Kenobi's, whilst Tyranus just used his red one. The only possibility for this 'image attack' shot was for a scene where Tyranus used two against Yoda - he would use his own, and the blue lightsabre (the green one having been destroyed earlier). Would have been cool!
