Ok all, I feel brave today. If I could figure out how to setup a poll I would but since I can't...
I recieved a few unique items for christmas bearing the Count Dooku image. The most bizarre for me was the moving 3d Count Dooku on the front of a Curad bandaid box!!!! Anyone else get something odd?
Cheers!!!!
Sandra
PS - Just saw the post a poll... if there are enough replies maybe we should poll and vote on the oddest but cool thing.

Count Dooku birthday goods.
At a party shop in my area, around the time of my daughter's b-day, last May, I found Dooku birthday banners, paper plates, cups, and noise-makers.
Sadly, my child is more into the Barbie thing! :)

Well, I thought the cereal box was the strangest but I'm feeling especially geeky today so here are some of the strangest CL items I own:
Saruman ornament
Saruman mug (when you cook liquid in it in the microwave the Elvish "One Ring to rule them all" saying lights up at the bottom)
LOTR display card topper (you know, those slightly over-sized obnoxious cardboard things) with Saruman on it
I haven't seen many very weird CL promo items (except for that Rasputin beard I saw advertised on a trailer for the film). I can say that I've seen the dumbest promo item ever for a movie with CL in it: a cardboard rotating Jango Fett torso book display. And, yes, someone from work took it home with them.

I have to say the bandaids also! Saw the display for them in the supermarket, but they were all out. Haven't seen 'em since. I also love the Count Dooku lunch box!!

I have to wonder what Mr. Lee's take is on all of this. I'm fairly certain that ending up on the cover of a cereal box was one of the last things he ever thought would happen. Yet...There he is...on cereal boxes, on other Breakfast-related things as well...
It must be rather a strange experience for him...

I'm fairly certain that ending up on the cover of a cereal box was one of the last things he ever thought would happen. | For someone that walks in the street and causes traffic jams, appearing in a cereal box is a formality. I suppose it's the price you pay for ultimate fame and AOTC has done what the other 288 films haven't.
The most impressive item I have seen, is driving trough Elephant and Castle, only to be presented with this huge Count Dooku poster from the IMAX cinema. Imagine how the driver felt knowing he was beside him?
In a normal London bus, I have seen standing ovations. Best of all, no one dares to get close enough to him it's like they just saw god.
I think it must be a great feeling being in cereal boxes and being recognised by everyone, specially when you are 80 and at that age, no one expects any attention at all.
I've had in front of me many celebrities, some I thought of like gods but when Mr Lee gets beside them, they become mortals. Mr Lee does have a presence that no one else has.

Hey don't knock it! I have a very nice hologram of Saruman that came with my Cherrios, and it looks cool.
Just think of it like this, it might be cheesy appearing on cereal boxes but it exposes Mr Lee's talent to those that don't know who he is. It's all good.

I like what you wrote Admin.
I agree with what you said I have seen it for my self, when Mr. Lee walked throught the shoping center in Nottingham every one just parted, no one run up to him they just cheered and claped,
it was magical, it was in the air, not sure if the others felt it But I did, as Mr. Lee walked it was like slow motion. If it had been any other Actor/actress the people would of rush up to touch them, but not Mr. Lee there was great respect there, people just moved back, like you said, "they just see him as god".

For me it would be the poster for DHRFTG showing a blonde's neck adorned with two parallel band-aids and the slogan: "You can't keep a good man down."

Hm... the photo of a poster I saw for DHRFtG had the blond with the band aids but said "DRACULA HAS RISEN FROM THE GRAVE... obviously."
