Just when something interesting comes along -

I'm not much for the vamp stuff - maybe I've gotten an overload of the vampire stories in the bookstores, etc. I mean, there is only so much you can do with Dracula before...well, you get the idea.

But, those other two films sound fascinating. The plot of Beat Girl sounds very much like an early version that no doubt was much better done of one of the many "good kid gone bad" movies that I have found wearisome due to their cynical view of the universe. But this...this sounds like the real thing - something that is quite ahead of its time, as well as having a moral center, for a change.

As for The Sorcerer, that sounds downright creepy, and definitely, to paraphrase the seller on e-bay, something that takes up where the old Twilight Zone would leave off.

It is one of my favorite CL performances. Do yourself a big fat favor and buy that tape. CL's portrayal of a WWI German officer tortured by the belief he commited a murder miles from where he was is something you must see. If it's the same pre-record I have, the picture quality is about grade C but the story is still enthralling.
