Apparently, the ever so mature and responsible people at MTV thought it would be a wonderful idea to premiere TTT in this way.

Sounds more like a nightmare:

Oh wow, that sounds TERRIBLE. I can't understand why anybody would think that format was a good idea. I hope that whole "movie house" concept gets axed.

Well, I never thought I'd have a need to take a blunt object capable of breaking a camera lens into a movie house, but I guess I will now...

Sickening, but hardly surprising. MTV is, afterall, the land of idiots and immediate gratification. Taste and fulfilling experiences have never been high on their list. IMHO.

Unbeleivable . I like to think I'm a fairly mild mannered and even tempered chap but if this had happened to me my alter ego would have shown up and...........well , nuff said :furious:

Oh, yes. I'm fairly patient, but one of my golden rules is never to interfere with my movie watching. Almost penalized an employee at a movie theatre I managed when he decided to try and pester during the rerelease of THE EXORCIST. If I had been at that MTV thing, they'd have been on the receiving end of my boots. The pair with the steel tips :).

Really, though. It's just apalling. Further proof of how low television is willing to stoop these days in the name of so called entertainment. I wonder if anyone from the LOTR movies knows what happened? I'm sure after working so hard on the films, that this sort of disrespect would not be appreciated.

Could you imagine what would happen if they tried that sort of thing at a premiere with Mr. Lee in attendance? "Shudder". Now THAT brings a chill to one's spine :).

We're forgetting to consider the kind of motion picture that's put out by the folks at MTV.
In retrospect, a premeire of this kind could only improve garbage like JACKASS.

If anyone interupts me when I'm watching Two Towers then I promise that I won't be responsible for my actions thereafter... :P

I've never read about anything so rude and obtrusive in all my life. It's ten times as bad as the person who leaves their mobile on and answers it when it rings during the film! (yes, I had that happen in the middle of Star Wars this year... despite the fact they ask you to turn off mobile phones, and there are 'No Mobile' signs everywhere...)

Now that would have been very irritating. But when you go to anything hosted by MTV, you kind of have to almost expect something stupid to happen.
