Juan Aneiros is on a distinguished road
This film, although filmed entire in Italy, it was never released in that country.

I watched again this film yesterday, I forgot what a good film it was. Even Mr Lee's part was small, it was very well played and very important to the plot of the film. Apart from that, I was surprised as how beatiful Mrs Lee looked, even if she just stood there and never said a word.

Has anyone seen it? What did you think of it?

I saw that movie here in Sweden a few years ago, and I remember that It was a very good movie. But I can´t remember seeing Mrs Lee in it. Who did she play?

I catched the last 30 or 35 minutes of that film , i think it was 1 or 2 weeks ago.
It played on satellite on one of the movie channel.
I must say that i was sorry i missed it, because it really seemed a very different film compared to a lot of film mr. Lee has done.
Anthony quinn seemed to be super in it so seemed to be Eli Wallach.
I also noticed that mr. Lee's wife was in it sitting beside him , do you know if she had a big part in that film Juan?

anyway, i'll be checking if the film will play again soon , and hope i won't miss it then!

Take care

Sylvain

I have always wanted to see this movie. I don't really know much about it other than what is written in Mr. Lee's autobiography and also in the Authorized Screen History, but I am intrigued by the title.

The Salamander. Such an enigmatic title, and one that has always stuck with me. Unfortunately, there are no video stores in my area that carry this movie, so I will have to buy it if I want to see it. The only reason that I haven't bought it yet is because Mr. Lee has such a small part in the movie.

All of this Salamander talk reminds me of the Saruman Brooch that I plan on buying for myself after x-mas. If you haven't seen it, I would describe it as vaguely salamander-like. Here is a link;

This is one of my all-time favorites.

Based on a true incident of an attempted fascist coup in post-War Italy. Mr. Lee's role as Prince Magusari (real-life Prince Borghese) is small, but crucial to the plot. This is the type of movie I, personally, would love to see Mr. Lee do more of, and I think his on screen persona loans itself to, the political thriller.
