If this weren't tragic, it would be too funny. The same forger isn't able to give Mr. Lee's signature the same characteristics!:furious:

I sent the seller an e-mail asking why he would try to rip people off like that. I asked why he would try to profit from lies and told him that he should have more respect for his customers etc...
I don't think he will respond though. He is a phony and a fraud and he obviously has no integrity. He just wants to make money from folks who don't know any better, and I think it is disgusting.

| You did the right thing. He may well not respond. But I'm sure his little theiving world is just a tad less secure now that he knows some people are on to him.

very VERY bad...you'd think if one were going to bother forging, one would try to get close to the original.
I agree with you Alfonso...at the very least they could try to make the signatures look similar to each other.

Well done, thats another lot been taken off e-bay.
Peolpe will soon get it, if we keep senting e-mails to all those cons out there, may be it will stop them posting them in the frist place.

Great to see the auctions were removed from eBay. I get so sick when I see forgeries like this and they were so bad as well. Glad I posted the info!
When people ask me about autographs - I always tell them to do their homework first. There are plenty of examples of Authentic autographs on-line. Be very cautious when bidding on eBay as well. As you saw on the ended auctions - the Seller offered a Certificate Of Authenticity(COA). A COA is a worthless piece of paper unless it can be backed by a respectable company or person (like our Juan!)
I remember years ago - someone on eBay was selling an Authentic Peter Cushing signed Grand Moff Tarkin figure. I emailed the Seller to let him know the signature was a Fake. He emailed me back very angrily and demanded an apology and how I was such an expert on Mr. Cushing's signature and if I had proof?
My reply was simple - Mr. Cushing had passed away well before the figure was EVEN produced by Kenner. Needless to say he cancelled the auction and explained he bought the figure from a "reputable" dealer.
Do your homework if you are interested in collecting autographs - that is the best way to avoid being ripped off.

I know this Star Wars poster is not signed by Christopher Lee, but it contains a bunch of terrible Forgeries and I would not want to see anyone(especially from this club) to be ripped off - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1973910771
EVERY signature is a Fake and the sad thing is, Dave Prowse and Kenny Baker do conventions all the time and he had to forge their sigs as well. Te George Lucas is not even close and the rest are all wrong. He attempted to at least make them look authentic, but they are far from it.

Qui-Gon-Jimm, that poster will be taken down in less than 24 hours. It may have nothing to do with Christopher Lee and I may have to face a bid of music from the dealer, but I have enough contacts to have the crook fried.
Bottom line is, it is a forgery, the seller is going to commit fraud and screw a fellow SW fan. Today he gets lucky with someone else's tomorrow he'll sell CL forgeries.
Eventually, these crooks will get banned from Ebay. After they get one VeRO, another mistake however small and they're history. That is why they go nuts when they get the first and try to have it revoked.
So far, the only other actor who bothers taking down fakes that I know of, is Ray Park. The rest know about it but don't move a finger.

"While it is impossible to definitely estimate the percentage of forged memorabilia, most industry experts concede that over half of the autographed memorabilia is forged. In fact, some cooperating subjects and memorabilia experts believe that up to ninety percent of the memorabilia on the market is forged." Federal Bureau of Investigations
I believe 90% is applicable to memorabillia sold through all methods. On Ebay, autograph forgery is higher than 95%.

I have worked with Ray Park, Jeremy Bulloch, Dave Prowse and Mercedes Ngoh to have Forgeries removed from eBay.
It is true, most know about the forgeries and don't bother to do a thing about it. That is really sad. I am glad that you guys take this a bit more serious and take action to have the fake removed.
Early on, I was taken a few time by forgers, but I did my homework and learned about autographs, how to obtain them, where to obtain them and I even did some research on hand-writing analysis.
That is actually when I first discoved Mr Lee's Fan Club - I was doing research on his signature and boy am I glad I did!
