AAAAGH ! How naff is that . As if any Cushing fan worth his salt would waste money on things like this . Then again there's no account for taste .

| If you look at the bidder's feedback, you'll notice they buy everything related to Peter Cushing. Funny thing is. . . I think I know that person from another web-ring.

Those are both cheap-looking and unintentionally creepy. I understand making your holidays memorable but come on. The slightly frightening thing is. . . someone bought those.

I think disturbingauctions.com has jaded me, 'cause I didn't find them particularly bothersome...

Saw a Peter Cushing pencil box on eBay once...oh, and a fridge magnet.
Both were equally cheesy. Made by the same person, perhaps?

I see lots of them on e-bay, Christopher Lee as well,
cuff links, fridge magnets, pencil boxs, pens, clocks load of the rubbish, its the same man most of the time, you can buy these item as blanks and all you have to do is slip a picture in, then he sells them.
No ture fan would buy this rubbish, this boke has every actor/actress picture in all the items, and if he don't have what you are looking for he will make them to order.

| I don't think there are any from Christopher Lee as we had them removed.

Dare I add the comment that the odd beauty in fan generated objects d'art is primarily with the beholder ( creator ) ?
I've made tons of that sort of thing to amuse myself and friends never for sale though.
I've even got a permission slip from JMS to make all the B5 stuff I want for costumes, contests etc. I have simply agreed never to sell it. I hit enough events that someone would probably bust me for some of the items I've recreated. So now I get permission before I play.
I'm too short to make any recreation Christopher Lee stuff and have it come off right!!! (not to mention the female part) .
There are some incredibly ghastly cross stitch kits of various actors especially Dr. Who and horror genre actors ( Ie our dear Mr. Lee in his Dracula role) floating about the fan circuit.
Anyone else have confessions to make???

Oh, that's too funny... I think it's fantastic! Well, not the tacky-and-mildly-fraudulent part, of course, but the concept of someone with their whole Christmas tree decked out entirely in Hammer horror style. And of course the annual viewing of that classic Christopher Lee movie with Charles Gray as the leader of a bunch of Santa worshippers... "The Elf Rides Out".

Saw the heading and just couldn't resist checking this out. Urgh! Cheap and nasty at best, morbidly tasteless, tacky and utterly exploitive at worst. I thought I was seriously jaded, but what some folks will do to make a buck can still astound me.
'Tis the season, but not for that sort of rubbish.

| Indeed. However, someone actually bought it. And, as I said earlier this may be someone known to me -- you too Charles. Look at the feedback list. Anyone spring to mind?

The buyer appears to be located in Germany, and I don't know any...oh, hang on a tick. Maybe I do know the individual after all. Looks like they bought more ornaments on a previous occasion too. Ah well...no accounting for taste, but I suppose different strokes for different folks, although if that was my sort of thing, I'd just make them myself, as someone else here suggested.
My better half once bought me a set of Sherlock Holmes fridge magnets as a birthday or Christmas gift, and when I saw them, there was much slapping of the forehead and doh-ing! Course, they are still on my fridge, so...
Cheers!
