the award to chris lee in vienna is truly deserved. it encompasses literally a lifetime of work.christopher is now reaping the rewards of international respect as well as adoration from a new audience out there.not many 80 year olds are considered to be hyper-cool ! i think that when i delivered a talk on chris lee at school when i was a boy many years ago to a classroom of my bemused peers who chose to talk about the likes of the footballer of the moment, i feel truly vindicated! and to cap it all i am perhaps the only one of the class who can say they have had the great fortune to meet their hero.not once but twice. long may the man continue to mesmerise us with his skillful portrayals.thanks so much for reading this.

thanks tina for your message.
i note that you are a very busy person. vienna one day and elsewhere the next! what you and i would have paid to be in that theatre to hear christophers name called to receive the lifetime award! the photographs of him getting his prize and making his speech look very animated! at least he has settled once and for all that he will be in both of the next two lord of the rings films. again thanks to you tina. Love, light and peace. Den.

Well if I were really so busy then it wouldn't have been so bad, but that holiday is practically the only time in the year I'm NOT in Vienna, and it had to take place JUST in that week...
Ok I'll stop ranting, heh... I mean, I know I wouldn't actually have gotten to watch the award giving live, but I dunno, I might have caught a quick glimpse of his limousine or something :P
Oh well, you can't have everything I suppose, and I really can't wait to see the second LotR movie :)
*is getting the super special edition of the LotR: FotR DVD tomorrow ^^*

hi there tina! i hope you are well.
the two towers is released in this country on the 18th of december, is it the same date over there in vienna? i am already 'booked' to see it with a good friend. we have renamed christmas time for the three years that these films are shown as Fellowship Day! i was on sir ian mckellens official web site the other day and he was saying that he is very interested in playing gandalf again if peter jackson wishes to direct it. i hope this does happen. i have just bought the dvd of dracula:prince of darkness to replace my old video cassette copy. its in fantastic widescreen and its amazing the way the old 1965 print has been 'cleaned up'. keep safe. Love, light and peace to you. Den.

Well yeah, on the nineteenth of December, and I still have to convince my family I don't want to go skiing with them that week =/
Are there any special features on the dvd? Because I'm kind of anti-dvd, so unless it has loads of extras I prefer to get the video of a film.

hi there tina!
i understand. i was so against all of this new technology! i have been getting dvd's especially because of any special features but dont get me wrong i still buy and collect videos too. sadly 'dracula:prince of darkness' doesnt have any special stuff but it is in full cinematic widescreen which my old video isnt. :( .but remember: it is technology that's allowing me to reply to your message! keep safe. Love, light and peace. Den.

Yeah, too true...
I think I almost bought the Dracula DVD anyway, but then my nostalgic love of videos just overtook, hehe.
