Is it just me, or are there other women out there who think that Christopher Lee as Saruman is, like, totally Godly? He's dead sexy! Must be the silvery hair and deeeeep voice. :1devil: Don't be shy now ladies!

LOL - well, you got straight to the point! And, believe me, most people here aren't shy - why should we be? To be honest, I prefer him as Dooku as far as attraction goes (haven't told my family exactly how much I like him... families don't understand! :P) - but I love his voice in all his roles. He has a great voice, who can deny it?

Is it that I am simply jealous of all this feminine adoration, you may be asking? Why. . . YES! :D

Actually, I don't much care for the long white hair and beard. It's not a good look in my opinion.

HAHA--that's the funniest thing Alfonso. Jealous of the feminine adoration! Heh heh. I feel the same way buddy! I get about as much attention from women as a midget clown. I can't understand why they find Mr. Lee's Saruman sexy, but I guess it goes along with that Sean Connery thing too. My mother once told me she thought he was extremely sexy, and he's in his 70s! My sister once said the same thing, and she was a teenager at the time! Imagine that, a 15 year old thinking a 70 year old man was "hot."

Sage? Somehow, I don't think it's Mr. Lee's wisdom that's operative factor here.:D

Well, my young friend, look at it this way. . . All that means is that in 50 years (for you) or 40 years (for me) there may be some hope (for us.) ;)

... though it was pretty funny at a different board I frequent where the girls and women were cooing over Legolas and Aragorn (mostly). When I said, 'Well, what about Saruman?' you could practically *hear* the baffled silence. 'I think you have him to yourself,' a poster said. Which I did-- at least over *there*...

What lucky devils you men are though.
Think about it. . . men are "distinguished" with age and women, well, we're just OLD.

Yesssss, the estrogen tide is turning! WEG. Hey, don't gripe, you look just fine...even in the sixteen crappy colors I have on my puter right now. But...to me...seeing two powerful wizards duking it out with their staff/wands is to a woman (the strange ones like me, anyhow), what female mud wrestling is to men! Hee!!! Bring it ON!!

Actually, before LotR, I never knew who CL was (ducks, and runs for cover), but as Saruman, he sure got my attention, no mistake there! Grrr! Who is Dooku anyhow? And hey...I can relate to the 'family' thing. I was in the midst of posting here on this topic when my husband walked in. I panicked and clicked to my home page, and we got into a HUGE argument...he thought I was talking to a guy in chat, and I decided I would rather weather the accusations than endure watching him rotfl his a$$ off. I told him I was posting at a fan site, but didn't dare show him what about. I'd never be able to watch LotR in peace again!!! I'd probably be too embarrased to watch it in his presence at any rate...he'd be laughing every time Saruman appeared, and playfully punching my arm whilst I turn several nasty shades of red. Ugh!

LOL so true Josslyn, according to the dictionary men turn into sages when they get older, ( not most of them) while we turn into CRONES

Thank you. You're very kind. But the icon I have up is a scan of the portrait I keep hidden in the attic.:1devil:

LOL!! All the less to have to share! At least over there he wont be like "Butter spread over too much bread" :naughty: :newlaugh:
You know, it's a good thing he created a host of Uruk-Hai Orcs instead of an army of fembots, or he'd never accomplish a thing!
:newlaugh: :newlaugh: :newlaugh:
