It would appear that there is a Heavy Metal band calling itself "Impaler" that has pit out a song entitled Tall, Dark, and Gruesome off their "Undead Things" album. Hmmmm. . . "Impaler?". . . "Undead things?" I wonder where they might have gotten Tall, Dark and Gruesome as a song title?

I'm not a Heavy Metal fan. I've never heard of this band before. Any Heavy Metal enthusiasts among the members know who these guys are? Jacob?

I don't know these guys.
I did a quick search on the net and found a homepage from a band called Impaler (I'm sure there are more metal bands called Impaler) and these guys are another shock/rock metal band who mix horror with their music.

So i can't say if the Tall, Dark, and Gruesome is meant as a tribute to Mr Lee.
I checked out some of the mp3's they had online. Not reccomended. :D

Alfonso, for your information or anyone who's interested.

I hunted down an mp3 from that song and it was the same band.
Besides the fact it wasn't a good song, the lyrics didn't had anything to do with Mr Lee.
It was about a monster created by man, Tall Dark and Gruesome.
Nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah, that song was pretty cheesy. But, if anyone is interested, there is a band from Finland(?) called Two Witches, who have a song called Like Christopher Lee, which IS inspired by his horror film roles. It's a cool little song, if you like Gothic music.
